Adriana Karembeu et Marc Lavoine : le premier couple de l'été

Alors que les Miss régionales viennent d'atterrir en Guadeloupe pour le traditionnel voyage d'intégration, les portraits officiels des candidates à l'élection Miss France 2023 ont été dévoilés.

Les portraits ont été dévoilés lundi 21 novembre. Tout sourire et toutes vêtues de la même robe couleur framboise, signée de la marque parisienne Anacceli, les trente Miss régionales se sont prêtées au jeu de la traditionnelle photo officielle.

En attendant de connaître le nom de celle qui portera la couronne de Miss France 2023, les candidates au titre se sont envolées en Guadeloupe. Elles ont atterri lundi 21 novembre dans la soirée, heure française. Les jeunes femmes suivront un programme chargé pour se préparer au grand soir de l’élection. Elles s'adonneront tour à tour à des cours de bonnes manières,  des séances photos et répondront au traditionnel quiz de culture générale, le tout dans le cadre idyllique de l’île de la Guadeloupe. Les Miss régionales profiteront également d’activités locales, déjà repérées en juillet dernier par Diane Leyre (Miss France 2022) et Sylvie Tellier (Miss France 2002) , directrice générale du concours.

Une préparation au concours encadré par des anciennes Miss

Sur place, elles pourront compter sur les conseils de Diane Leyre ou encore  de Cindy Fabre (Miss France 2005), directrice du concours national depuis août dernier . À leurs côté également Alexia Laroche-Joubert , présidente de la société Miss France depuis maintenant un an. Elle aussi du voyage, Sylvie Tellier quittera ses fonctions en fin d'année , après 17 ans passés au sein du comité. Le départ s'est fait dans un contexte particulier suite à la conférence de presse tumultueuse du 18 novembre où Sylvie Tellier et Alexia Laroche Joubert n’ont pas caché leurs désaccords .

La 93ème édition du concours, à laquelle il est possible d’assister , se tiendra à Chateauroux (Indre) le 17 décembre prochain.

The 72nd Miss Universe beauty pageant will be held on Saturday and hosted in El Salvador, with the central American country drawing in 84 contestants from around the globe.

The competition has so far featured a culturally based costume display and introductions from each of the contestants before the big contest on Nov. 18, which will see the return of the current Miss Universe and 2023 winner, R'Bonney Gabriel, a Texan who was the ninth American to win the contest.

The event is hosted by Miss Universe 2012 winner Olivia Culpo and television personality Jeannie Mai Jenkins, with Maria Menounos, Catriona Gray and Zuri Hall serving as backstage correspondents.

Who will be competing in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant?

This year's pageant contestants will represent their home countries and their respective unique cultural heritage. For the first time, this year features representation from Pakistan, with Erica Robin competing. Countries returning for the first time after last year include Denmark, Guyana, and Zimbabwe.

This year's pageant will include its first mothers and married women to compete, with Maria Camila Avella Montanez of Colombia and Michelle Cohn of Guatemala.

Rikkie Valerie Kolle from the Netherlands and Marina Machete Portugal were the second and third transgender participants to be in the pageant.

When is the Miss Universe 2023 pageant?

The pageant is Saturday, Nov. 18, with the event officially starting at 6 p.m. Arizona time.

Where is the pageant airing?

The pageant is on local Telemundo channel 20, KTAZ. Telemundo will air pre-event coverage starting at 4 p.m.

The event is also partnered with Roku to stream the pageant for the second consecutive year on the platform's Roku Channel app.

What will the pageant consist of?

The competition side of the pageant will have contestants show off their poise and style, followed by a selection of questions from a committee. There will be a swimsuit showcase and an evening gown fashion show that will feature musical entertainment.

Who is the singer of the pageant?

The event will feature a performance from Grammy award-winning singer John Legend, whose music will go alongside the evening gown show.

Who is the favorite to win?

La Prensa Grafica, an El Salvadorian newspaper inspired by the "sash factor" of the contestants before the big competition, placed Miss Puerto Rico Karla Guilfú Acevedo in first place, followed by Miss Brazil in Maria Brechane and Miss Cambodia Sotima John in third.

All about Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Press Presentation

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Press Presentation was held yesterday, i.e. 11th April 2023 at the Marquis Events Place in BGC. The thirty-eight official candidates were presented to guests, sponsors, accredited partners and members of the media.

The co-Presenter Smilee Apparel will be the organization’s partner in the lifestyle transformation of the pageant brand. Province of Leyte will be hosting the delegates from 1 st to 5th May 2023. The delegates looked absolutely stunning in their outfits as they answered the questions from the media.

The finals will be held on 13th May 2023 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and will be hosted by actors Alden Richards and Xian Lim with backstage host Maureen Montagne. It will air on GMA-7. The event will also feature the presence of Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi and the reigning Miss Universe Rbonney Gabriel.

Qui succédera à Diane Leyre? L'élection de Miss France 2023 se tiendra le 17 décembre prochain à Déols, dans le Centre-Val de Loire. Lors de cette soirée, elles seront 30 jeunes femmes en compétition afin de décrocher la couronne convoitée. Découvrez les candidates, région par région.

• Miss Alsace: Camille Sedira

Élue le 10 septembre dernier, cette jeune femme de 20 ans est originaire de Bischoffsheim, au sud-ouest de Strasbourg. Étudiante en école de commerce, elle se décrit comme curieuse et sportive, passionnée par la cuisine et les randonnées, selon France 3 Grand Est .

• Miss Aquitaine: Orianne Galvez-Soto

Originaire de Dordogne, la candidate de 23 ans a remporté l'écharpe de Miss Aquitaine 2022 au début du mois d'octobre. Comme le rapporte Voici , cette maquilleuse de métier connaît déjà bien le milieu des concours de beauté: elle avait été élue première dauphine de Miss Aquitaine en 2020 et Miss Périgord 2017.

• Miss Auvergne: Alissia Ladeveze

Déjà élue Miss Allier en mars dernier, cette native de Vichy âgée de 20 ans a suivi un bachelor de management international à Clermont-Ferrand où elle a effectué sa troisième année à Cracovie en Pologne. Si elle est élue Miss France, elle souhaite sensibiliser l’opinion sur l’isolement des personnes âgées, rapporte La Montagne .

• Miss Bourgogne: Lara Lebretton

Sacrée Miss Bourgogne le 8 octobre en Saône-et-Loire, d’où elle est originaire, cette infirmière de 23 ans souhaite s'engager dans l'humanitaire. D'après Le Figaro , elle est également coach, chorégraphe et danseuse au sein du club de Givry depuis 15 ans et adore la couture et la peinture.

• Miss Bretagne: Enora Moal

Comme le précise le site Actu Bretagne , cette étudiante en imagerie médicale avait déjà tenté sa chance au concours de Miss Bretagne il y a un an, mais était passée à côté du podium. C'est donc avec "surprise" que la candidate, âgée de 20 ans, a reçu son titre le 23 septembre dernier à Ploemeur, dans le Morbihan.

• Miss Centre Val-de-Loire: Coraline Lerasle

Déjà sacrée Miss Indre-et-Loire, cette jeune femme a réalisé "son rêve de petite fille" en remportant l'écharpe de Miss Centre-Val-de-Loire le 23 octobre dernier. Pour se préparer au mieux à réprésenter sa région au concours national, cette étudiante en licence de géographie à l'université de Tours, va mettre son cursus scolaire en pause, comme le rapporte La Nouvelle République .

• Miss Champagne-Ardenne: Solène Scholer

Cette Châlonaise de 20 ans, étudiante en médecine à Reims, a décroché le titre de Miss Champagne-Ardenne depuis le 14 octobre dernier.

• Miss Corse: Orianne Meloni

Originaire d’Ajaccio et apprentie infirmière, Orlane, 22 ans, suit les pas de ses grandes sœurs. Comme le rapporte Corse Matin , sa jumelle Mélody avait notamment défilé pour Miss Corse 2021.

• Miss Côte d'Azur: Flavy Barla

Cette Niçoise de 19 ans a été sacrée début août 2022 au Théâtre romain de Fréjus. Décrite comme pétillante et déterminée par Nice Matin , cette étudiante en troisième année de médecine, souhaite partager sa vocation lors du concours et promouvoir la lutte contre le cancer.

• Miss Franche-Comté: Marion Navarro

Étudiante en bachelor Fashion business à l’École internationale de mode (EIDM) de Paris, cette jeune femme de 19 ans à la "personnalité très affirmée" a été élue Miss France-Comté en septembre. Un "rêve de petite fille", comme elle le confie à L'Est républicain .

• Miss Guadeloupe: Indira Ampiot

Originaire de Basse-Terre, cette guadeloupéenne de 18 ans vient tout juste d'obtenir son bac et souhaite faire des études de communication, pour évoluer dans le "design spécialisé dans la communication publicitaire et visuelle", selon Telestar .

• Miss Guyane: Shaïna Robin

Couronné le 16 juillet dernier, cette jeune femme de 20 ans se rêve en réalité pilote de l’armée de l’air. Comme elle l'explique sur son compte Instagram , "les métiers de l’aéronautique et du spatial ont toujours cette résonance particulière au fond de moi".

• Miss Île-de-France: Adèle Bonnamour

Une nouvelle Miss Île-de-France succède à Diane Leyre , Miss France 2022. C'est Adèle Bonnamour , âgée de 18 ans, qui a reçu la couronne le 22 octobre dernier. Étudiante en deuxième année d'école de commerce, la jeune femme, longtemps complexé par sa taille (1.86m), est une grande joueuse de tennis, selon BFM Île-de-France .

• Miss Languedoc: Cameron Valliere

Nouveauté pour cette édition 2023: après la scission du comité Languedoc-Roussillon en deux entités distinctes, il y aura pour la première fois une Miss Languedoc et une Miss Roussillon lors du concours Miss France cette année.

Et c'est Cameron Vallière, étudiante en marketing et communication de 23 ans, qui a été sacrée début août.

• Miss Limousin: Salomé Maud

Originaire de Haute-Vienne, la jeune femme de 23 ans avait déjà porté les couleurs du Limousin en 2017, selon France Bleu . Diplômée d'un master en management des achats, elle est actuellement volontaire à l’Ordre de Malte, une association catholique caritative.

• Miss Lorraine: Sarah Aoutar

Originaire de Thionville, cette jeune femme de 25 ans est chargée de conformité dans le secteur de l’investissement. Un métier qu'elle excerce au Luxembourg, selon le Républicain Lorrain .

• Miss Martinique: Axelle René

Âgée de 21 ans, Axelle René est étudiante en Master 1 Géosciences et planétologie. Élue Miss Martinique le 24 septembre dernier, la jeune femme avait expliqué ses motivations sur Instagram peu avant son couronnement: "Les ambitions de la Martinique sont les miennes. C'est pourquoi, si je suis élue Miss Martinique, je donnerais tout pour remporter la couronne de Miss France pour notre belle île."

• Miss Midi-Pyrénées: Florence Demortier

Depuis samedi 3 mars 2022, cette Toulousaine âgée de 22 ans est Miss Midi-Pyrénées. En parallèle de son élection, la jeune femme, qui a grandi à Portet-sur-Garonne, vient d'obtenir un diplôme de kinésithérapeute après cinq années d’étude, d'après Actu Toulouse .

• Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais: Agathe Cauet

Infirmière à l’hôpital Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, cette Lilloise de 23 ans souhaite défendre à travers sa participation la lutte contre le cancer. Une cause importante pour la jeune femme a qui l'on a diagnostiqué une tumeur dite borderline à l'âge de 17 ans, d'après BFM Lille .

"Heureusement ça s’est bien terminé car on m’a tout retiré sans chimio, la chirurgie a suffi. Et c’est de là que m’est venue l’envie de devenir infirmière", avait confié Agathe Cauet à Actu Lille .

• Miss Normandie: Perrine Prunier

Âgée de 23 ans et originaire de la Manche, Perrine Prunier est en Master 2 de droit à l'université de Caen. Elle aspire à devenir commissaire de police et à intégrer la brigade de protection de la famille, afin de défendre les femmes victimes de violences conjugales, selon BFM Normandie .

• Miss Nouvelle-Calédonie: Océane Le Goff

À 26 ans, Océane Le Goff est la doyenne du concours Miss France, réformé cette année pour permettre aux femmes de plus de 25 ans de pouvoir se présenter. Diplômée depuis d’un 2018 d’un bachelor à l’école de gestion et de commerce de Nouméa, elle a lancé, en parallèle, sa propre entreprise de garde d’enfants.

Lors du concours, elle a choisi de sensibiliser à la recherche sur le syndrome des ovaires polykystiques , dont elle est atteinte, comme le précise la 1ère .

• Miss Pays de la Loire: Emma Guibert

Inscrite au concours de Miss Vendée par une amie sans le savoir il y a deux ans, la jeune femme de 20 ans refuse d’abord de participer, estimant manquer de confiance et de maturité, puis, elle finit par accepter, comme le rapporte Ouest France .

Cette sportive qui découvre le monde des concours de beauté a par la suite été sacrée Miss Vendée puis Miss Pays de la Loire et souhaite se destiner à l’événementiel.

• Miss Picardie: Bérénice Legendre

Sacrée Miss Picardie la veille de ses 26 ans, la jeune femme s'était déjà présentée il y a deux ans à l'élection Miss Normandie,alors qu’elle habitait Honfleur (Calvados). Elle avait alors fini terminé 3e dauphine derrière Amandine Petit , élue Miss Normandie puis Miss France 2021.

• Miss Poitou-Charentes: Marine Paulais

Originaire de Bellevigne cette étudiante en deuxième année de BTS esthétique option Management est en alternance dans un institut de beauté à Bordeaux et a l’intention de continuer ses études jusqu’à l’élection de Miss France. Lors du concours, elle défendra les enfants et femmes victimes de violences, selon La Charente libre .

• Miss Provence: Chana Goyons

Fan de Céline Dion, selon Paris Match , cette jeune bachelière âgée de 18 ans est une passionnée de sport et grande golfeuse - qu'elle a pratiqué pendant une dizaine d’années.

Chana souhaite poursuivre des études supérieures dans la finance ou le commerce et compte faire la différence au concours Miss France grâce à sa spontanéité et son côté aventurière.

• Miss Réunion: Marion Marimoutou

Originaire de Saint-André, la jeune femme âgée de 18 ans, a été sacrée Miss Réunion fin août. Pour assumer ce titre lors de l'élection nationale, celle qui se destine au métier de professeur de Sciences économiques et sociales, va repousser d’un an son inscription à l’université, selon la 1ère .

• Miss Rhône-Alpes: Esther Coutin

Ce n’est pas la première participation de cette jeune femme de 23 ans à Miss Rhône-Alpes. Comme le rapporte le Dauphiné Libéré , Esther Coutin avait déjà tenté sa chance au concours régional en 2017 et 2018.

En doctorat pour être expert comptable au commissaire aux comptes, Esther va mettre ses études en pause pour réaliser son rêve: "ramener la couronne au sommet du mont Blanc", assure-t-elle au Dauphiné Libéré .

• Miss Roussillon: Chiara Fontaine

Originaire de Perpignan, cette étudiante en 2e année licence de psychologie de 20 ans a été sacrée Miss Roussillon, début août. Un titre particulier pour la jeune femme puisque pour la première fois depuis six ans Miss Languedoc et Miss Roussillon porteront deux écharpes distinctes, en raison la scission du comité Languedoc-Roussillon cette année.

• Miss Saint-Martin / Saint-Barthélemy: Inès Tessier

Âgée de 19 ans, Inès est étudiante en cinématographie à l’université de Montréal au Canada. Mais pour assurer tous ses engagement, la jeune femme va devoir mettre ses études entre parenthèses.

• L'élection de Miss France 2023 aura lieu à Châteauroux

"Ce n'est pas possible de gérer les deux, donc je vais mettre mes études de cinéma en pause pendant un an", confie-t-elle au Journal de Saint-Barth .

72nd MISS UNIVERSE ® COMPETITION DETAILS

2023’s highly-anticipated event featured 90 women from around the globe vying for the job of Miss Universe, selected via events including personal statements, in-depth interviews, evening gown, and swimwear. The evening culminated with the crowning of the 72nd Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua by her predecessor, R'Bonney Gabriel.

EL SALVADOR  2023

The 72nd Miss Universe Pageant was held in magical El Salvador, a shining jewel in Latin America. This truly global event of 2023 brought together over 90 Miss Universe delegates vying for the prestigious crown. People were immersed in the vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and captivating beauty of El Salvador along with premium views of the Pageant itself.

The evening culminated with the crowning of the 72nd Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua by her predecessor, R'Bonney Gabriel.

Never too late: 71-year-old woman makes history as oldest contestant competing in Miss Texas USA

A 71-year-old woman made history as the oldest contestant to compete in the Miss Texas USA pageant.

Though she did not take home the crown, Marissa Teijo joined other contestants competing in the pageant this weekend in Houston.

Aarieanna Ware, last year's Miss Dallas winner, was named Miss Texas USA on Saturday. She will represent Texas in the Miss USA competition.

The Miss Universe organization recently changed its rules to be more inclusive by removing age limits for contestants over 18 and allowing women who are married, divorced or pregnant.

Teijo, of El Paso, said in an Instagram post that she was excited to compete and hoped it would “inspire women to strive to be their best physical and mental self and believe there is beauty at any age.”

The Miss Universe organization has been embroiled in controversy since Noelia Voigt announced her resignation on May 6.

Voigt, 24, said in an  Instagram statement  that she was stepping away to focus on her mental health, but days later NBC News  obtained a copy of Voigt’s resignation letter  in which she accused the pageant’s CEO Laylah Rose of creating a toxic work environment and failing to address a sexual harassment incident.

Rose released a statement saying that she takes allegations seriously and that “the well-being of all individuals associated with Miss USA is my top priority.”

After Voigt relinquished her title,  Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava, 17, stepped down , as well as Miss USA’s social media manager Claudia Michelle.

Miss USA Savannah Gankiewicz  of Hawaii was crowned the new Miss USA 2023 in place of Voigt and will hold the position until August, when a new winner is announced. Stephanie Skinner, Miss Teen USA runner-up, was offered the crown following Srivastava’s resignation, but she declined to accept it .

Aussie Swimmer Will Miss 2024 Olympics After Viral Criticism Of Team USA

A video of Australia’s Cate Campbell boasting about defeating the U.S. team at the 2023 World Championships in Japan has gone viral. The controversy has gained the attention of many sports fans, social media users, and public figures, including Olympian Michael Phelps .

Following the viral video, Aussie swimmer Cate Campbell won't participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics , which kick off on July 26, 2024.

What Did The Aussie Swimmer Say?

After last year's competition, Cate Campbell spoke with Australia’s Channel 9 to talk about the overall results and final standings.

“Such, such, sore losers,” she said in the 2023 clip, per SwimSwam.com . “Australia coming out on top is one thing, but it is just so much sweeter beating America. There were a couple of nights, particularly the first night of competition, where we did not have to hear the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ ring out through the stadium and I cannot tell you how happy that made me."

"If I never hear that song again it will be too soon," Campbell added. "Bring on Paris, that’s all I have to say. U.S., stop being sore losers."

For those who are unaware, Australia walked away with 15 gold medals, at the 2023 World Championships in Japan, eight more than Team USA.

Michael Phelps Reacts

After hearing the interview, 23-time gold medalist Michael Phelps spoke out, bashing the Aussie swimmer for being disrespectful.

“If somebody said that to me, I would lose it,” Phelps said after watching the clip. “I would make them eat every word they just said about me. Cause people have done it. Chad le Clos, [Ian] Thorpe. You guys have all talked sh-t about me and I had the last laugh."

“So for the Americans, if you see what I just saw, I would watch that thing every day to give me that little extra bit of just oomph," he added.

Cate Campbell To Miss 2024 Paris Olympics

Days after the 2023 video went viral, the Aussie swimmer failed to qualify for the Games, finishing seventh place in the 50m freestyle at the 2024 Australian Swimming Trials on Saturday, June 15.

After realizing her fate for the 2024 Olympics, the 32-year-old reportedly broke down in tears as she blew a kiss to the crowd and waved to her fans.

"It's bitter-sweet,” Campbell told Channel 9 following the trials. “I had hoped for the fairytale ending and it's what I had worked for and what I felt I was capable of, and unfortunately my body just said, 'No.’ “

She made the decision to withdraw from the 100m event to focus on the 50m race, resulting in the end of her Paris Olympic dreams

Team USA Won't Have The Opportunity To Face Cate Campbell

Now that she won't be at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Team USA won't have a chance to compete against the swimmer -- and they never will as Campbell announced the end of her competitive career.

"Swimming is one of the most grueling sports out there and I have been at it a very, very long time,” she said. "This is the end and it's a perfect way to exit the pool,” she said, confirming the end of her competitive career."

"I would have loved that fairytale ending more than anything else, but I can now sit back and reflect on a wonderful career, I can leave the sport with my head held really high," the Aussie swimmer continued. "I came back to try something that no one's done before and I gave it a really good crack. My God, I gave it a really good crack."

More On The 2024 Paris Olympics

The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, are scheduled to take place in Paris, France. Lebron James , Alyssa Naeher, Steph Curry , Abby Dahlkemper, Jordan Chiles, Kayla DiCello, Shilese Jones, Suni Lee , and more star athletes are set to compete in the Games.

One of the biggest names fans are looking forward to seeing is Simone Biles , who dropped out of the 2016 Olympics, citing mental health and "the twisties."

“I would literally tell the team, my teammates, like, ‘I’m fighting demons. I’m fighting demons right now, but I’m going to do it for you guys.’ I literally felt like I was fighting my body and my mind to do these tricks," she said on  Call Her Daddy podcast.

Ever since she has raised awareness surrounding mental health and the pressure athletes face. “To be an advocate for anything that I’ve been outspoken about,” she said on the podcast. "Mental health, foster care, ADHD. But also just someone that gave it her all, never gave up.”

The 2024 Paris Olympics kick off on July 26, 2024.

For Miss Wisconsin Mandi Genord, winning in 2024 ‘is perfect timing’ after finishing as runner-up

Genord said this year's timing was perfect considering she was still on scholarship at the university of alabama last year..

OSHKOSH – Some things are worth the wait.

Mandi Genord can attest to this, moving up one spot on the podium from runner-up to Miss Wisconsin 2024 .

It’s a story of perseverance for the 22-year-old from Beaver Dam, who just barely missed out on the title when she finished as the 2023 runner-up before returning to take the crown on the very same stage last weekend.

“Coming into this year, I did put a lot of pressure on myself [to win], but it wasn’t a case of win or bust, either, because I would have been comfortable just performing at my best,” Genord told the Northwestern.

“So, when I won it was still quite the shock and surprise, and it felt like a whirlwind in the moment, but now it feels a bit more real,” she added.

Competing as Miss Rock River Valley last year, Genord came up agonizingly short of the crown when she and eventual winner Lila Szyryj were the last ladies left standing on the stage.

Yet, Genord acknowledged that second-place finish may have been for the best considering she still had one more year of college left at Alabama.

“I was still in school and on scholarship, so had I won, I’m not sure what would have happened, but now I have graduated, and I am doing a gap year before I apply for law school, so I honestly think this is perfect timing,” she said.

“Lila and I also worked a bunch together going into Miss Wisconsin, and she was able to guide me through that journey, so I like to say when she won, I won as well.”

But that only intensified the pressure Genord put on herself going into this year’s pageant.

Thankfully, her team placed no such expectations on her.

And Genord was able to lean on her experience as a competitive dancer under her mom, brother and sister, who are all dance instructors.

It also helped she previously won Miss Wisconsin's Teen in 2018.

So, it shouldn’t have been much of a surprise that Genord won preliminary talent and evening wear award honors to kick off the 2024 pageant.

“You still can never tell with preliminary wins because you have private interviews with the judges, and that part of the process can be very telling,” Genord said.

“The pressure can still be overwhelming at times, but I just wanted to put forward a performance that reflected my hard work and dedication, although you know at the same time mistakes can happen.”

But those mistakes were clearly few and far between, as Miss Northern Lights ended up tying for the overall interview score while also being named overall evening wear winner.

Genord was also quite satisfied with her contemporary jazz dance performance to “You Don’t Own Me.”

Now, she turns her attention to Miss America 2025 and her initiative, Movement Matters, which focuses on kids taking control of their own health through activities.

“I just want people to know I am a true Wisconsin girl and I am proud to call this my home state,” Genord said.

“I am so excited to be going into this role for the next year and really act as a representative of not just Wisconsin, but an advocate of the Miss Wisconsin brand.

“They’ve poured so much into me," she added, "and I want to give them back just as much as they’ve given me."
