Every nation of the beautiful world has badly affected by the drug abused. Bangladesh is no exception. There are millions of drug addicted people in Bangladesh and most of them are young between the age of 18 and 30(teenagers). But it is very alarming that the children (i.e. street children) are also addicted to drug due to various reasons. Drug abuse directly cause health hazard of the addicted people and influences the economic and social aspects of a country. So if we unable to removed this problem, our next generation will be dropped to the edge of destruction. The objectives of the study is to find out the present scenario of drug addiction especially among the young generation in Bangladesh, to identify different types of drugs, to find the impact of drug addiction, to find the cause of taking drugs, to find the bad effects on our next generation and economy & Society, discussion and data analysis and finally to give recommendation how to save the problem. Recent trend in Drug Addiction in Bangladesh is most talked topic in our country. It is impossible for me to collect the primary data due to shortage of time. For this I have dependent on secondary data. So it is a descriptive assignment basically. In this regard data has been collected from different type of newspaper, research reports and website. Drug addiction of young generation and its impact is a sensitive subject. Even I don't get enough time to make this paper innovative, resourceful and effective. But there is no lacking of my hard work and cordial effort.

Drug addiction is turning to the national problem from social problem. It creates many other problem. This study conducted to identify the core cause of drug addiction of young generation in Bangladesh. To conduct this research, questionnaire survey and case study have conducted. Case study tried to bring out the core factor responsible for the drug addiction of young generation and questionnaire survey expressed the people’s perception toward drug addiction. This research findings suggest that influence of peer group, weak family bonding, affluence and shortage of money are the key responsible factor for the drug addiction of young generation in Bangladesh.

The works explore the drugs abuse situation in Rajanpur tehsil of Rajanpur district. The study discuss introduction to the area and subject matter, contribution of the previous workers, methodologies and the drugs addiction and consequences in the young age group. During questionnaire as well as public interviews it is observed that drugs particularly smoking, heroin, alcohol, marijuana, and cannabis etc are the most familiar among the 15-25 year age group. This habit not only affects their health but also make hag hazard their families, children's and economical condition. Most of them are not able to contribute in the development of national economy and pass their lives parasites. Beside they are also doing different types of crimes for their financial stability. The law and order situation is very weak in the area that provide base to the drugs mafia to promote drugs addiction in the area. During field survey some question was about female drugs abuse but also to cultural and social moral of the Pakistan society. Nobody was willing to share information, however, very low ratios of female at young age were found into are using smoking and drinks. Most of them were from high class society or from seasonal migrated people. It is therefore required to improve the drugs abuse policy on national level and to provide a trained task force for the reduction of such activities in the area. Most of the respondent have suggested for their jobs, support from their families, free medication etc. Many people give the suggestions to send the police, stop financial supported and sent to hospitalization.

Drug addiction is becoming a social problem in Bangladesh. It creates many social offences. Consequently, the youth-the future of the nation-are running into the depth of darkness. This study tries to discover the causes of drug addiction in the urban life of Bangladesh. To conduct this study, analytical research design, social survey method & stratified random sampling have been followed. To measure the causes of drug addiction, the Likert Scaling five rating scale has been applied. Further, for hypotheses testing, an ᵡ 2-test has been used to test the degree to which two or more groups vary or differ in an experiment. The present findings suggest that the majority (67.67 %) of drug addicts think that drug addiction is high/very high, simultaneously 9.10% medium and 23.23% low/very low due to the influence of frustration, addicted parents and peer group in society. Again, the result of hypotheses testing suggests that a man can become addicted to drugs by the influence of frustration and peer group not influenced by the parental drug addiction. Therefore, these findings may help the policy makers and planners of the government and non-government organizations to take appropriate initiatives to prevent drug addiction in society.
