NUS Academic Exercises (AE) and final year projects (FYP) are available only in hard copy and are usually kept in the closed stacks which must be requested in advance before you can access it.
To find what you need, click LINC on the library portal search page
On the LINC search site, you would need to enter your keyword (what you are searching for), restrict your search to "Thesis (NUS) Collection", and click Submit.
From 2018 onwards, new NUS Honours Year Thesis, Academic Exercises and Final Year Projects are hosted on Scholarbank@NUS
Not all theses submitted to NUS are in the Libraries' collection as some of them may not be released by departments to the Libraries. Some examples:
- SDE Honours thesis
- CNM Honours thesis
Do note that NUS Honours Year thesis, Academic Exercises or Final Year Projects cannot be brought out of the library.

The honours thesis is basically a research project with the usual components you might expect in a published paper, except that it is much longer: literature review, research questions, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions. Your topic can be anything within the discipline, and so the methodology you use will depend on that.

Hello, Im your senior who'll be starting Y4 this August. Currently in the midst of choosing my honours topic. I'm sure you know that honours entails doing a research and writing a thesis on it. Anyways, you'll be having a research module this Y3 sem which will give you a better idea on what research is like.
During honours year, you do a research and write a thesis. Frankly speaking, honours is not necessary if you don't intend to go into research in the future. And with regards to becoming an NC, you will need an advanced diploma in addition to the degree (when and what specialty will be when the time comes for you to move up once you start working).
Deadline to inform department of any changes in Honours Thesis title/topic between the original research proposal and the revised final research. Week 12 (Friday, 12pm)*. Submission of softcopy PDF document to Canvas. If you have any specific query about the Honours Thesis, please write to [email protected], or call +65 6516 4670.
