  8. Fight or Flight: Jeremy Saulnier on Rebel Ridge

A ferociously satisfying update of "First Blood" with a rustic Southern setting, "Rebel Ridge" furthers writer-director Jeremy Saulnier's pattern of trapping his protagonists in tight spots and making them fight their way out, even as it recalibrates the grisly survivalism of "Blue Ruin" and "Green Room," along with the atmospheric tension of his Alaska-set "Hold the Dark ...

  9. Everything You Need to Know About Leap! Movie (2017)

11-year-old orphan, Félicie (Elle Fanning) has one dream - to go to Paris and become a dancer. Her best friend Victor (Nat Wolff) an imaginative, but exhausting boy with a passion for creating has a dream of his own, to become a famous inventor. In a leap of faith, Victor and Félicie leave their orphanage in pursuit of their passions.

  10. Leap!

Movie Review. The words happy and orphanage almost never get lumped into the same sentence. No, orphanages tend to be places of desperation and deprivation. (At least in the movies, anyway.) Dreams simply do not take flight in their claustrophobic, cinematic confines—especially the late 19th-century, Catholic kind found in France.

  11. Leap! (2017)

"L eap!" is a fun CGI-animated kids movie about two orphans, Felicie and Victor, who escape their Brittany orphanage and hop a train bound for Paris to fulfill their dreams of becoming a famous ballerina and a celebrated inventor, respectively. It feeds the audience the usual, benign "follow your dreams" kind of preaching that is prevalent in so many kid's movies, yet mixes in some ...

  12. Movie Review: Top Gun Maverick

Tom Cruise reprises one of his most iconic roles, 36 years after the original. Not much has changed, save a few more lines on his face. But the megawatt smile and Mach-speed aerial exploits are exactly what you'd expect … with just a bit of turbulence along the way.

  18. Movie Reviews for Families

More Detail: LEAP is a tale of two orphans in the 1880's with big dreams, but when they finally escape the orphanage and flee to Paris they discover that following their dreams is a lot harder than it seems. Plugged In Movie Review Mar 28, 2014 Noah. Should Christians just say no-ah to this twisted Hollywood take on the Old Testament story?

  21. LEAP OF FAITH

At film's end, a host of Monarch butterflies reminds us that Jesus creates new creatures even as Jane decides to become a new person. The Angels of Mercy Gospel Choir, directed by Edwin Hawkins, provides a strong musical backdrop for the movie. Overall, LEAP OF FAITH has a good message, marred only slightly by worldly language.
