Product details
The brain is an amazing three-pound organ that controls all functions of the body, interprets information from the outside world, and embodies the essence of the mind and soul. Intelligence, creativity, emotion, and memory are a few of the many things governed by the brain. Protected within the skull, the brain is composed of the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem. The brain receives information through our five senses: sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing – often many at one time. It assembles the messages in a way that has meaning for us, and can store that information in our memory. The brain controls our thoughts, memory and speech, movement of the arms and legs, and the function of many organs within our body. The central nervous system (CNS) is composed of the brain and spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system (PNS) is composed of spinal nerves that branch from the spinal cord and cranial nerves that branch from the brain. The brain has three main parts: the cerebrum, cerebellum and brainstem. Cerebrum is the largest part of the brain and is composed of right and left hemispheres. It performs higher functions like interpreting touch, vision and hearing, as well as speech, reasoning, emotions, learning, and fine control of movement. Cerebellum is located under the cerebrum. Its function is to coordinate muscle movements, maintain posture, and balance. Brainstem acts as a relay center connecting the cerebrum and cerebellum to the spinal cord. It many automatic functions such as breathing, heart rate, body temperature, wake and sleep cycles, digestion, sneezing, coughing, vomiting, and swallowing. The cerebrum is divided into two halves: the right and left hemispheres. They are joined by a bundle of fibers called the corpus callosum that transmits messages from one side to the other. Each hemisphere controls the opposite side of the body. If a stroke occurs on the right side of the brain, your left arm or leg may be weak or paralyzed. Not all functions of the hemispheres are shared. In general, the left hemisphere controls speech, comprehension, arithmetic, and writing. The right hemisphere controls creativity, spatial ability, artistic, and musical skills. The left hemisphere is dominant in hand use and language in about 92% of people.
Brain Diagrams Templates consists of four slides that have beautiful infographics and a modern style. The first slide is a brain infographic divided into six main parts – cerebrum, cerebellum, medulla oblongata, pons, mesencephalon, thalamus. This slide will primarily be useful to medical professionals and teachers of medical universities. You will be able to use this slide when preparing training courses. Doctors can also prepare their brain studies using this slide. The third slide allows you to display information on the left and right hemispheres of the brain in detail. This slide will be useful in preparing a general biology course for high school students. Also, startups can use this slide when preparing an analytical report on how the brain perceives a new product or technology. The next two slides can be helpful in preparing a course on leadership, memory optimization, or rapid reading. All slides in this template are editable and can be used with any of your other presentations.

The Human Brain Presentation Template
Number of slides: 10
The human brain is arguably one of the most complex entities in the entire universe. Even though it sits right behind our eyes, we know only a fraction of what this incredible machine is capable of. Recent advancements in science, medicine and technology have offered us a slight understanding of our brain. And to help your brain focus on the important tasks, this amazing slide deck comes with the Left-Brain Right-Brain slide, the Brain Understanding Timeline and the Brain Processes Matrix to give your audience an introduction into this wonderful biological structure.

Left-brain right-brain slide.
The differences between the left brain and right brain have been a topic brought up very often in personality tests and pop culture, but the science is very real. The analytical and creative sides, even though these terms are overly-simplistic to describe the process, perform different functions of the mind that together make you the whole person that you are.
Brain Understanding Timeline
Ancient Egyptians did not think a lot of the brain. They would just scoop it out through the nostrils and discard of it. Thankfully, now we know better, and this process has been ongoing for hundreds of years. Who knows how many hundreds more until we fully understand this complex machine.
Brain Processes Matrix
Different processes are handled in various areas of the brain. This matrix can help you explain how the amygdala differs from the frontal lobe. It can visually represent the distributions of tasks throughout the brain.
Learn about yourself
Discovering more about the brain will help you understand yourself better
Don’t try to understand it all

"24Slides helps us get PowerPoints on-brand, and improve overall design in a timeframe that is often “overnight”. Leveraging the time zone change and their deep understanding of PowerPoint, our Marketing team has a partner in 24Slides that allows us to focus purely on slide content, leaving all of the design work to 24Slides."

"The key to the success with working with 24Slides has been the designers’ ability to revamp basic information on a slide into a dynamic yet clean and clear visual presentation coupled with the speed in which they do so. We do not work in an environment where time is on our side and the visual presentation is everything. In those regards, 24Slides has been invaluable."
"After training and testing, 24Slides quickly learnt how to implement our CVI, deliver at a high quality and provide a dedicated design team that always tries to accommodate our wishes in terms of design and deadlines."

Visually stunning 6-page brain PowerPoint template
Preview of this 6-page brain PowerPoint template
The focal point of this entire template is the 3d model of the human brain. Although I’m pretty much the farthest thing from a medical professional that you would ever come across, a fair amount of research went into creating this. And I got to say – I’m quite proud of the result.
I couldn’t decide on a background texture though. I was originally planning to use the vector lines background illustration I recently created, but decided to render transparent tubes instead. It looks more “medical” IMHO.
One of the things that I like to do with all my presentation templates is to you offer a good mix of visually rich slides as well as basic (all white) slides. You certainly don’t have to use every slide in this deck. Just use what you need, and then throw out the rest.
What types of slides are included with this template?
Having spent more than 20 years working corporate desk jobs, I’ve seen my fair share of PowerPoint templates. With that knowledge, I know that there’s really only three kinds of slides that most presenters will ever need:
- A cover slide
- A text slide
- A section break slide
This 6-page brain PowerPoint template includes all of those type of slides – plus 2 more:
- A table slide
- A data visualization slide
Although I fully suspect that most people are only going to want this particular template for the cover and basic text slides, I felt it was important to include some content-heavy slides as well. The table and data visualization slides are purposely generic so that you can modify them to incorporate any sort of technical data you need to present.
What version of PowerPoint is this template compatible with?
Don’t worry. You absolutely do not need the latest version of PowerPoint to use this brain PowerPoint template. I purposely use an older version of PowerPoint just so that I can offer maximum compatibility in all of my templates.
FYI, this template was created in PowerPoint 2016. The simplicity of it allows it to be backwards-compatible with versions of PowerPoint going all the way back to the early 2000s or so. In other words, you’ve got nothing to worry about unless you’re using PowerPoint 1995 or something.
Does this template require any special fonts?
Nope. As long as you’ve got Arial and Helvetica, you’ll be OK. Again, I try not to get too crazy with the fonts in my templates because I know that not everybody has access to the same font library that I do.
I should also mention that not having Helvetica isn’t that big of a deal with this PowerPoint theme. If you don’t have that font installed on your system, just replace those elements with Arial. Everybody has Arial. Even you (even if you don’t think that you do).
Here is a brief summary of all of the text elements and the fonts I used:
- Arial: body and footer text
- Helvetica: Main titles, subtitles, and quote text
What elements in this template are editable?
Pretty much everything except the illustrations. All of the text elements, including the charts, graphs, and table graphics are native PowerPoint elements that can be easily modified within PowerPoint.
However, the brain illustrations are imported images which cannot be modified without having access to a graphics editing program. Photoshop or Affinity Designer are two of my favorites, but feel free to use whatever you have access to. The images are simply JPEG‘s. Nearly any graphics editing program will be able to open them without issue.
Does this include Master slides?
Of course! Do you really think that I would create such a detailed brain PowerPoint template without using my own noggin? I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I am smart enough to know that a good set of Master slides can make or break a presentation template.
Just so you know, I don’t like to get very fancy with my Master slides. I leave them pretty much as “stock PowerPoint” as possible, only adding certain other elements when absolutely necessary.
Do all of the fancy brain illustrations make this template too large to email?
Nope! Again, having spent more than 20 years in the corporate office at various companies, nothing grinds my gears more than a doofus who mass-emails a 20 MB PPT. I learned very early on my career that file efficiency is key to not having people reply with hate messages.
Therefore, I worked hard to keep the size of this PowerPoint template as small as possible. It comes in about 2.06 MB, which can be greatly reduced if you don’t use all of the images that I’ve included. It should include your company’s branding, history, culture and values; team members; products and services; contact information and testimonials. Be sure to include relevant numbers and dates.
Q. What Is the Basic Structure of a Company Profile?
The ideal company profile would have the following sections:
- Introduction: This section briefly introduces the company. It includes details such as the company's name and contact details.
- Mission and Vision Statement: You should clearly state the company's mission and vision and how these statements guide the company's actions in this section.

- Testimonials: This section should feature top customer reviews that resonate with your brand values and highlight your key benefits.
- Call to Action/Contact Information: Provide your contact details for further inquiries or partnerships.
Q. How Long Does It Take To Write a Company Profile?
To give an estimate, it can take anything from a few hours to several days, depending on the level of planning and coordination.
However, the time needed to write a company profile depends on several factors, such as whether you are starting from scratch or using a template, whether you already have the needed information on hand, the desired length of the profile, the complexity of the business, the level of detail required and the ease of collaboration between the team members involved.
A straightforward profile for a small business may be completed more quickly, while a detailed profile for a large corporation with multiple divisions might take longer.

How to deliver montessori-inspired business presentations.

Senior Director, Data, Analytics & AI at Microsoft , representing the LatinX leaders in Tech.
Recently, I had the opportunity to deliver a presentation about generative AI to a room filled with senior business leaders, including business owners and investors. Following my presentation, something unexpected happened. A couple of executives approached me to discuss not just the content of my presentation but also my presentation style. To my surprise, they drew a parallel between my approach and the Montessori method.
Their observation left me intrigued and inspired. I hadn't consciously set out to implement a Montessori approach in my presentation, but the correlation between my methods and the Montessori philosophy was a revelation. It prompted me to reflect on the elements that had contributed to this perceived connection and consider how these elements could be harnessed intentionally in future presentations.
The experience was a valuable reminder of the versatility and effectiveness of alternative learning and communication methods in engaging senior business leaders who are often accustomed to more traditional approaches.
1. Challenging The Norm
Over the years, I've discovered that the Montessori approach is renowned for its emphasis on self-directed learning rather than rigid curriculum enforcement. Interestingly, when I engage with non-technical executives to present a technology solution for their business challenges, I consistently strive to engage them actively, inviting questions and encouraging deeper exploration of the subject matter.
This approach challenges the assumption that senior executives are solely motivated by external rewards, instead relying on their innate curiosity and drive to explore and learn. This proves particularly effective when I'm trying to demonstrate how the solution can enhance employee productivity and increase the organization's operational excellence.
While en route home, aboard the plane, my thoughts centered on connecting the dots and crafting a straightforward summary, enabling the development of a formal approach for replicating this experience. Including this one, here are the five principles I formulated.
2. Exploration And Interactive Learning
I like to apply interactive learning to business presentations to create opportunities for leaders to explore concepts and information actively. It's truly rewarding to witness the moment when they grasp these ideas through their own thought processes.
I recommend planning interactive workshops, simulations or case studies that encourage leaders to experiment and learn by doing. This exploration fosters a more profound comprehension and practical application of knowledge, making it a potent method for educating business leaders. I believe it is another way to build trust.
3. Manipulation Of The Environment
I've heard that in a Montessori-inspired approach, crafting an environment to optimize learning is crucial. In a business context, this can be achieved by creating a presentation setting that fosters engagement and learning. It involves the meticulous choice of images, movie references and thoughtful metaphors during the preparation phase.
Additionally, incorporating technology, visual aids and interactive tools that empower leaders to interact with data can bring a deeper understanding of the material. The result is a well-designed environment that significantly enhances the overall learning experience.
By setting the stage in this way, you can ensure that the story you tell resonates and leaves a lasting impact, making the learning experience not only informative but also truly engaging.
4. Repetition For Mastery
Repetition seems to be a fundamental element of Montessori education that ensures students master a concept before moving on to the next. In a business context, this means supplying opportunities for the executives to revisit and reinforce key points. This can be achieved through follow-up sessions, discussions or assignments that encourage the application of knowledge.
To do this, introduce a core message that you then revisit at intervals. This message should revolve around business key performance indicators (KPIs) and how they can lead to increased earnings or cost savings.
5. Time For Self-Reflection
Another fascinating subject involves granting executive leaders the opportunity for self-reflection, allowing them to absorb and internalize the knowledge within their own business context, words or thought framework. In my presentations to business leaders, I make sure to distribute time for this crucial reflection on the material and its applicability to their unique experiences and challenges.
I also employ thought-provoking questions that directly tie the conversation to the presentation's goals. To achieve this, I invest significant time in studying their business, industry and the most recent statements, which may include investor meetings, press releases and conference speeches. This reflective phase serves as a valuable bridge, transforming knowledge into actionable insights.
Concluding Thoughts
Using a Montessori-inspired approach to present to senior business leaders can be a refreshing departure from traditional methods. By challenging the "carrot and stick" mentality and incorporating elements of exploration, manipulation, orientation, repetition and self-reflection, you can create a more engaging and effective learning experience.
This approach not only aligns with the principles of Montessori education but also recognizes the unique needs and preferences of business leaders who are typically owners of companies. It is an approach that fosters a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the business world.

What you need to know
Non-contrast computed tomography (CT) for minor traumatic brain injury (mTBI) is often ordered, rarely provides positive results, and is associated with increased risk of patient harm and increased healthcare costs
Several valid and reliable clinical decision rules (CDRs) have been developed to determine whether a CT scan of the head is indicated
Evidence from implementation research shows that a strategy of using a CDR can safely, albeit modestly, decrease the use of CT scans in adult patients with mTBI
Non-contrast computed tomography (CT) is an important imaging modality in the care of adult patients with acute medical problems and injuries in an emergency department. These images can initiate timely and lifesaving interventions. One area where the utility of CT scanning has been debated is after minor traumatic brain injury (mTBI) or concussion in adults. This condition is defined as a direct blow to the head, neck, or body resulting in impulsive forces being transmitted to the brain causing alteration in mental status, with symptoms developing immediately or over time, that may include a loss of consciousness. 1 Common mechanisms include sports and recreational activities, falls, motor vehicle crashes, and physical assault. 2 In most clinical presentations of mTBI, the neurological examination is normal and the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) is 13-15. GCS <13 designates a more severe injury.
According to a CDC report, fewer than 10% of adult patients in the US experiencing a mTBI suffer serious brain injuries that require hospitalisation or surgery, and most are discharged from the emergency department based on clinical assessment alone. 3 A prospective study of patients with minor head injuries in Canada found that 5% had clinically important brain injuries and 0.4% required neurosurgical intervention. Similarly, a US study of patients with minor head injuries seen in emergency departments found that 3.5% had …

Effective Communication Strategies for Ph.D. Research Presentations
Affiliated faculty.
Experienced mentors often find that Ph.D. students struggle with tailoring their research presentations to a diverse audience. Deeply immersed in their research, students frequently overestimate audience familiarity with the subject matter. Thomas Stewart , an associate professor of data science and the Ph.D. program director, shares his advice for enhancing clarity and impact for Ph.D. research presentations.
"In my experience, Ph.D. students can struggle with tailoring their presentation to the audience," Stewart says. "They spend so much time in the nitty-gritty details of their work. They struggle to reset their expectations for how much the audience will be familiar with the topic and relevant details." This discrepancy can lead to presentations that are either too detailed or too vague, making it difficult for the audience to grasp the key points.
The guidance provided to Ph.D. students preparing for research presentations is crucial for ensuring their work is effectively communicated. A poster worksheet (available below), utilized during practice sessions, can serve as a key tool in this preparation. This worksheet, comprising questions related to audience, message, impact, and clarity, is instrumental in honing the students' presentation skills.
To address this, the message and impact sections of the worksheet are designed to help students focus on what truly matters to the audience. Students may be inclined to present their findings chronologically, detailing each step of their research journey.
"Because students arrive at their results taking steps A, B, C, D, there is a temptation to present the results as a travel log, saying we did A then B then C, etc.," Stewart explains. "The truth is that the audience doesn’t care about the journey."
The audience is typically more interested in understanding the main message and the impact of the research. Therefore, students are encouraged to design their posters and presentations with these elements as the focal points.
The worksheet also includes an exercise in focus. Stewart asks students to go through each section of the poster or paragraph of the talk and to identify how it communicates the main message or impact. "If there isn’t a direct link to the message or impact, I encourage them to delete it. A very common mistake is to cram too much material into too little time or space. It is hard for students to edit in this way, but it is a helpful exercise."
A peer review session constitutes the second page of the worksheet. "After showing a poster for 15 to 20 seconds, I blank the screen and ask the students to answer the questions on the second page," Stewart says. This exercise simulates the audience's initial reaction, providing valuable feedback on the clarity and effectiveness of the presentation.
Additionally, students practice delivering a concise two-sentence introduction, prompted by an audience member's inquiry: “Hey, tell me about your poster.” This practice is essential, as students often find themselves unprepared for such impromptu interactions. By rehearsing this introduction and focusing on how the research impacts the audience's life, students can significantly improve their communication skills.
Stewart recalls a particularly effective introduction honed after many attempts. "My favorite intro after several iterations was from a student who said, 'Hi, my name is Joseph, and I use deep learning to make better bombs.'"
Students frequently inquire about presenting to mixed audiences of experts and the general public. To navigate this challenge, they are advised to use the “to-X-we-did-Y” strategy.
Stewart shares an example: "To understand the nonlinear relationship between patient age and risk of mortality (X), age was added to the regression model as restricted cubic splines using 5 knots (Y)." This approach involves prefacing technical details with a high-level explanation of their purpose, ensuring that both technical and non-technical audience members remain engaged.
These structured exercises and strategies help Ph.D. students craft presentations that are not only informative but also engaging and accessible to a diverse audience.

How to use Gemini AI to create presentations in Google Slides
The only thing people enjoy less than sitting through a slideshow presentation is making a slideshow presentation. But with the integration of Gemini AI into Google Slides , that process is about to get a whole lot easier.
How to integrate Gemini into Google Slides
Getting started with gemini, what gemini can do in slides, what you can do with gemini in slides.
In this guide, we’ll explore everything you need to seamlessly incorporate Gemini AI into your workflow. Whether you’re looking to enhance your design elements, streamline content generation, or simply save yourself some time, Gemini AI offers a suite of features that can transform the way you build your presentations.
As with the integrations for Docs and Sheets, Gemini AI is not available for use with Slides at the free tier. You’ll need a $20/month subscription to the Google One AI Premium Plan to gain access; otherwise, a work or school account through a Gemini for Google Workspace add-on will work.
Simply click on the “Try Gemini Advanced !” radio button in the top-right corner of the Gemini home screen and follow the prompts.
To begin, open a new or existing Slides presentation, then click the Ask Gemini button in the top-right corner of the screen (to the right of the share button). This will expand the Gemini AI sidebar running down the right side length of the screen. On the sidebar, you’ll be able to either enter your idea directly into the prompt window or take inspiration from the AI-generated image slideshow at the bottom of the screen.
Primarily, Gemini AI can create images, generate new slides, summarize a presentation, and write and rewrite content. It can also reference Drive files or Gmail as you write, as well as search the internet for current information and statistics to answer questions that arise while you write. Basically, it works as a writing and research aide, same as it does for Docs.
Gemini takes the grunt work out of the slide creation process and accelerates my workflow to a startling degree. While I’ve watched countless slideshows as a journalist (on earnings calls, product demos, keynote events, and the like), I’ve been lucky enough to not have had to make one myself in well over a decade. Suffice to say, actually producing a professional-looking slide deck these days takes me ages to accomplish, what with all the bullet points, image sourcing, thematic formatting, and whathaveyou.
But with the help of Gemini, I was able to pop out a solid eight-slide introduction to the Seattle, Washington, region that discusses the city’s main attractions, the state of its housing market (both sales and rentals), its education and health care systems, and reasons why folks should move to the region — all using simple prompts like, “add a slide discussing the education system in Seattle, the number of primary schools in the Seattle area, and Washington’s average education ranking among U.S. states.” I did all of that in under 10 minutes.
There were a few limitations to what Gemini could help me with, mind you. I repeatedly asked it to incorporate motion transitions between each slide ( because who doesn’t love a good star wipe ?); however, the system kept generating slides discussing transitions as a subject topic instead. I ultimately had to add those effects by hand.
Also, if I were actually giving this presentation in public, I’d have to spend a good amount of time going back through and confirming the veracity of each of the bullet points to ensure the system didn’t hallucinate anything, but without the AI, just creating this deck by hand would have taken me a couple of miserable hours at least.

A new research paper from Apple reveals that the company relied on Google's Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), rather than Nvidia's more widely deployed GPUs, in training two crucial systems within its upcoming Apple Intelligence service. The paper notes that Apple used 2,048 Google TPUv5p chips to train its AI models and 8,192 TPUv4 processors for its server AI models.
Nvidia's chips are highly sought for good reason, having earned their reputation for performance and compute efficiency. Their products and systems are typically sold as standalone offerings, enabling customers to construct and operate them as the best see fit.
