Show everyone how you did it. It's good to answer the following questions:

What was the task?

What targets did you want to achieve?

At this stage, don't forget about making use of the brand book - you are displaying the project you have already done. Don't make changes to it. Talking about the design, use screenshots of your project. Remember about app platforms. Show the final effect on a desktop, mobile, and a tablet.

6 Steps to Creating a Knockout Behance Portfolio

Behance is the most popular website for creatives to show off their work. Naturally, showcasing your portfolio on a site like Behance is one of the most effective ways to promote your skills and talent. There are many approaches toward creating a portfolio on Behance. The ‘boring’ way is to simply insert pieces of your work on a solid background. The exciting way is to design all your portfolio pieces together into a single, harmonious design.

Awww yeah! Pretty cool, huh? Are you interested in taking your Behance portfolios to the next level? This article we will give tips on how to make a knockout portfolio that gets you noticed.

1. Select your best work

Your Behance portfolio is most effective as a series of projects: one project per Behance page. If you don’t have much work to show, you could bundle many projects into a single Behance page. A Behance page shouldn’t display all of your work. It’s best to keep it short and sweet, selecting only your best pieces. We recommend selecting, at least, five pieces for a single Behance page.

Remember, it’s better to have a portfolio where you show a few of your best projects that are stunning. Showing many average projects would not be as attractive. The quality of your portfolio is only as good as your weakest project.

2. Share a backstory, complemented by a theme

Deep dive into your work and think about how you will present it. People are drawn to stories. Developing a brief backstory for your project will pull your viewers in. Talk about your story from the initial concept to early sketches, to the finished product. Start your story by showing the finished piece first, followed by your progress which led you to it.

4. Keep it simple

The design of your Behance page needs to be simple. We can’t stress the KISS principle enough. Avoid the temptation to make an elaborate design to push for a wow factor. Simplicity pushes your work to the surface, where it should be. Pick one font, pick a color scheme , and stick to it; keep the style consistent.

5. Craft a bio

An important part of your Behance portfolio is your Behance profile. Fill in your profile’s description with your story. Ask yourself, what’s your point of view? What’s your unique perspective on the creative world? What led you to develop this perspective? Answering these questions will help you zero in on your passion. Passion is infectious; putting it into words will make you shine.

6. Keep your Behance gallery fresh

Behance is a large, active community. Posting just once gets you ignored. Those who post on a regular basis attract an audience. Popularity is measured by likes and comments. Your posts on Behance become more reputable when you consistently attract engagement. Popularity has a snowball effect which increases the number of likes/comments. Cover Images are a key part of the Behance browsing experience. Think of this image as a small preview of the work that will be inside your project.   

We've standardized the size of all Cover Images so that every project is equally represented and adaptable for viewing on all areas of the Network.

Your Cover Image will display at 202x158 px, but you must upload an image that is at least 808x632px. This is so that your Cover Image will look great on retina display screens. Once you upload an image, you can use our cropping tool to cut it down to the exact size.

The next Sims game is doing invite-only multiplayer testing this fall

We'll likely hear more about Project Rene in January during a Behind The Sims presentation.

It's been about a year since we've heard anything about the development of The Sims 5 , and while there still isn't any real news about it, there's news that news is coming soon…ish. 

In a new blog post today, Maxis talked about a lot of preparations happening for the 25th anniversary of the series coming in February. It confirmed that there's definitely a Sims movie in the works, talked about plans to start co-developing small DLC kits with modders, and gave a small mention to invite-only tests for the next Sims game, codenamed Project Rene, happening this season.

"Continuing its development alongside other exciting new projects within The Sims franchise, Project Rene is focused on building ways for friends to meet, connect, and share while playing together in an all-new world," Maxis says. "There will be a small invite-only playtest for Rene this Fall 2024, giving an early look at a multiplayer experience that explores joining friends and other players at a shared location." You can sign up for The Sims Labs program to be considered for those playtests.

Maxis will also be hosting another of its Behind The Sims presentations in January next year as part of the celebration for the 25th anniversary. Although it doesn't explicitly say that it will talk about Project Rene during that presentation, it's safe to assume that the next major Sims game will be talked about.

"We’ll continue to share more information on the game’s development and milestones along the way," it also says.

We only know a little bit about the next Sims game so far, like how it's bringing back the Create-A-Style tool from The Sims 3 and that it will be free to play. We don't even really know if we should be calling it "The Sims 5" at all because Maxis has been pretty vague about its relationship to The Sims 4 aside from saying that it would continue to support both. I'm hoping the latter point gets some clarity in January.
