The Palgrave Handbook of the Afterlife

The afterlife is one of the most prominent themes in the central text of the Islamic religion, the Quran. The Quranic focus on the afterlife is manifested through verses which pertain to (i) the character of the present life; (ii) accountability and final judgment; (iii) a desirable afterlife; and (iv) an undesirable afterlife. This chapter will draw together references made to the afterlife throughout the Quran. The aim will be to give an indication of the extent to which the Quran focusses on the afterlife and to allow the Quran to speak for itself with regard to its teaching. Special attention will be paid to the arguments employed by the Quran in order to convince its readership of its teaching.

In these books, basic Islamic injunctions have been portrayed in a simple and easy way, aided by Quranic references, Ahadith and episodes from the life of our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Interesting exercises improve children’s knowledge about religion. Contrary to a traditional approach, some concepts and incidents have also been illustrated to give a better understanding to children. The language is very simple and comprehensible and so is the layout.

The books are written in accordance with the Pakistan National Curriculum.
