Band 5+: Some people think competition is better others say being cooperative is better. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

There is a debate between two types of people. Some say being competitive at school, at work and in daily life is beneficial, whereas others say cooperating with each other is way more valuable than any competition. Although I seek balance through decision making, But in this scenario I personally side with the first group and in this essay, I will come up with further elaboration and examples to support my opinion.

On the one hand, advocates of being cooperative in various aspects of our lives, prioritize teamwork and collaboration. although this might sound intriguing, it often does not create the best results in practice. for example, the risk of distractions grow higher as many people get involved to achieve on thing for every one, they may not be in tune with each other and may have their hidden intentions and arguments, causing the projects to fail and not be as successful as it was intended to be.

On the other hand, proponents of competitive environments may be more aligned with the fast-pace societies. While information and education is no longer elusive for the majority, the competition may ascends among peers especially in academic and professional setting, leading them to aim high and be inspired to excel in their field.

However, competition like everything else may have a dark side, causing individuals to be way hard on themselves and be under the pressure of constant comparison, which can later have a negative impact on their mental health.

In conclusion, a balance between competition and cooperation is ideal. While competition can promote individuals to reach their full potential, it is equally important to foster a spirit of cooperation to ensure that everyone can contribute and benefit. By integrating both approaches, we can create environments that encourage personal growth and collective success.
