నేచురల్ స్టార్ నాని హీరోగా వచ్చిన సినిమా ‘దసరా’. శ్రీకాంత్ ఒదెల దర్శకత్వం వహించిన ఈ చిత్రంలో కీర్తి సురేష్, ధీక్షిత్ శెట్టి ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో నటించారు. కాగా ఈ చిత్రం ఈ రోజు విడుదల అయింది. మరి ఈ చిత్రం, ఆడియన్స్‌ను ఏ మేరకు మెప్పించిందో సమీక్షలోకి వెళ్లి తెలుసుకుందాం!

తెలంగాణకు చెందిన గోదావరిఖని తాలూకు వీర్లపల్లి అనే ఊరిలో మొదలైంది ఈ కథ. ఈ గ్రామానికి చెందిన ధరణి (నాని ) సూర్యం (దీక్షిత్ శెట్టి) చిన్నప్పటి నుంచి బెస్ట్ ఫ్రెండ్స్. ధరణి (నాని) వెన్నెల( కీర్తి సురేష్) ను ప్రాణంగా ప్రేమించినప్పటికీ, మరోవైపు తన ప్రాణ స్నేహితుడుసూర్యం (దీక్షిత్ శెట్టి) కూడా వెన్నెల ను ప్రేమిస్తున్నాడు అని తెలిసి, తన ప్రేమను చంపుకుని వారిద్దర్నీ కలపడానికి ప్రయత్నం చేస్తాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో జరిగిన నాటకీయ పరిణామాలు ఏమిటి ?, సూర్యం (దీక్షిత్ శెట్టి) ఎలా చనిపోతాడు ?, తన స్నేహితుడిని చంపిన వారిపై ధరణి (నాని) ఎలా పగ తీర్చుకున్నాడు ?, చివరకు ధరణి (నాని) – వెన్నెల( కీర్తి సురేష్) ఒక్కటి అయ్యారా ? లేదా ?, ఈ మధ్యలో ధరణి (నాని) అనుభవించిన మానసిక వేదన ఏమిటి ? అనేది మిగిలిన కథ.

ప్లస్ పాయింట్స్ :

హై వోల్టేజ్ యాక్షన్ డ్రామాతో వచ్చిన నాని తన నటనతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. ధరణి పాత్రకు నాని ప్రాణం పోశారు. మునుపెన్నడూ చూడని విధంగా రఫ్ అండ్ మాస్ అవతార్‌ లో నాని అద్భుతంగా నటించాడు. నిజంగానే పిరికివాడిలా, పచ్చి తాగుబోతులా చాలా సహజంగా కనిపించాడు. నాని – కీర్తి సురేష్ ఆన్‌ స్క్రీన్ కెమిస్ట్రీ కూడా ఫ్రెష్ గా ఉంది. వెన్నెలగా కీర్తి సురేష్ డీ గ్లామర్ లుక్ లో కూడా చాలా బ్యూటిఫుల్ గా కనిపించింది. నటన పరంగానూ కీర్తి సురేష్ ఈ సినిమాతో మరో మెట్టు ఎక్కింది.

నానికి స్నేహితుడి పాత్రలో దీక్షిత్ శెట్టి చాలా బాగా నటించాడు. కీలక పాత్రలో నటించిన షైన్ టామ్ చాకో పర్ఫార్మెన్స్ సెటిల్డ్‌ గా చాలా బాగుంది. సముద్రఖని ఈ సినిమాలో కొత్తగా కనిపించాడు. ఆయన కెరీర్ లో నిలిచిపోయే గెటప్ ఇది. సాయి కుమార్ నటన కూడా బాగుంది. అలాగే మిగిలిన నటీనటులు కూడా తమ పాత్రలకు పూర్తి న్యాయం చేశారు.

ఇక కథలోని మెయిన్ ఎమోషన్స్ ను, నాని పాత్రలోని షేడ్స్ ను, కీర్తి సురేష్ తో సాగే లవ్ ట్రాక్ ను, అలాగే గోదావరిఖని తాలూకు వీర్లపల్లి నేపథ్యాన్ని.. ఆ నేపథ్యంలోని యాక్షన్ సీక్వెన్సెస్ ను.. ఇలా శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల ప్రతి పాత్రను చాలా బాగా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. ముఖ్యంగా నాని పాత్రలోని ఎలివేషన్ సన్నివేశాలు విశేషంగా అలరిస్తాయి.

మైనస్ పాయింట్స్ :

ధరణి పాత్ర, కథా నేపథ్యం, అలాగే ఇతర పాత్రల చిత్రీకరణ, నటీనటుల పనితీరు బాగున్నా.. కథనం విషయంలో, కథను మొదలు పెట్టడంలో మాత్రం దర్శకుడు శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల ఆకట్టుకోలేకపోయారు. పాత్రల మధ్య ఎమోషన్స్ ను ఎస్టాబ్లిష్ చేసినా… కొన్ని చోట్ల మెలో డ్రామాలా అనిపిస్తోంది. దీనికి తోడు పాత్రల మధ్య కాన్ ఫ్లిక్ట్ కూడా సరిగ్గా ఎలివేట్ కాలేదు. కథలో ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ కూడా మిస్ అయ్యాయి. మలుపులు లేని కథనం కూడా కొన్ని చోట్ల నీరసంగా సాగింది.

ఇక సినిమాలో సెకండాఫ్ ఐతే మరీ స్లోగా ఉంది. ప్రధానంగా కొన్ని సన్నివేశాల్లో గ్రిప్పింగ్ నరేషన్ మిస్ అయింది. నేపథ్యం కొత్తగా తీసుకున్నా… చాలా సన్నివేశాలు రొటీన్ గానే సాగాయి. ఈ సినిమా ఓ బార్ నేపథ్యంలో తెరకెక్కిందనే విషయాన్ని గుర్తు చేస్తున్నట్లు ఎక్కువగా మందు సీన్స్ నే పెట్టారు. సినిమాలో హీరో ఎదుర్కొనే అవరోధాలు, అటాక్ లు కూడా పూర్తి సినిమాటిక్ గానే సాగాయి. ఓవరాల్ గా స్క్రీన్ ప్లే అండ్ కాన్ ఫ్లిక్ట్ ఇంకా బలంగా ఉండాల్సింది.

సాంకేతిక విభాగం :

సాంకేతిక విభాగానికి వస్తే.. సంతోష్ నారాయణన్ అందించిన సంగీతం ఆకట్టుకుంది. సంతోష్ నారాయణన్ నేపథ్య సంగీతం సినిమాకు ఆయువుపట్టుగా నిలిచింది. సత్యన్ సూర్యన్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ వర్క్ చాలా బాగుంది. ఎంతో రియలిస్టిక్ గా, గ్రాండ్ విజువల్స్ తో ప్రతి సీన్ ను కూడా చాలా బ్యూటిఫుల్ గా చూపించాడు. ఎడిటర్ నవీన్ నూలి సినిమాలోని స్లో సీన్స్ ను తగ్గించి ఉంటే.. సినిమాకి బాగా ప్లస్ అయ్యేది. నిర్మాత సుధాకర్ చెరుకూరి ఎక్కడా కాంప్రమైజ్ కాకుండా ఈ చిత్రాన్ని నేషనల్ రేంజ్ లో భారీగా నిర్మించారు. నిర్మాణ విలువలు చాలా బాగున్నాయి. రచయితగా తడబడినా దర్శకుడిగా మాత్రం శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల బాగా ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు.

హై వోల్టేజ్ ఎమోషనల్ రివెంజ్ యాక్షన్ డ్రామాగా వచ్చిన ఈ సినిమాలో నానితో పాటు మిగిలిన లీడింగ్ ఆర్టిస్ట్ లు అందరూ తమ నటనతో బాగా ఆకట్టుకున్నారు. డిఫరెంట్ షేడ్స్ తో రఫ్ అండ్ రగ్గుడ్ లుక్ లో నాని అద్భుతంగా నటించాడు. అలాగే నేపథ్యం, యాక్షన్ అండ్ ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్ చాలా బాగున్నాయి. కాకపోతే కథనంలో కొన్నిచోట్ల ఆసక్తి పెంచే అంశాలు ఆశించిన స్థాయిలో కుదరలేదు. ఓవరాల్ గా ఈ సినిమా నాని ఫ్యాన్స్ తో ప్రేక్షకులకు కూడా మంచి అనుభూతిని ఇస్తోంది.

న్యాచురల్ స్టార్ మూవీ అంటేనే కుటుంబ ప్రేక్షకులో ప్రత్యేకమైన ఆసక్తి నెలకొంటుంది. అన్ని వర్గాలను మెప్పించేలా కథలను ఎంచుకుంటూ వచ్చిన నాని మొదటిసారి ఊర మాస్ నేపథ్యం ఎంచుకోవడం దసరా పట్ల ఈ స్థాయి హైప్ ని తీసుకొచ్చింది. పోస్టర్లతో మొదలుపెట్టి ప్రమోషన్ల దాకా టీమ్ తీసుకున్న శ్రద్ధ వల్ల ఇందులో బలమైన కంటెంట్ ఉందనే సందేశం జనానికి వెళ్లిపోయింది. క్యాస్టింగ్ కి తోడు భారీ బడ్జెట్ కళ్ళకు కట్టినట్టు ట్రైలర్ లోనే కనిపించేసింది. ఇంతకీ దసరా టైటిల్ కు తగ్గట్టు పండగలా ఉందా.

తొంభై దశకం నేపథ్యంలో కథ సాగుతుంది. తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతంలోని వీర్లపల్లి అనే ఊరి జనానికి బొగ్గు గనులు, మద్యపానం ఇవే జీవితం. ధరణి(నాని) సూరి(దీక్షిత్ శెట్టి) వెన్నెల(కీర్తి సురేష్) చిన్ననాటి నుంచే ప్రాణ స్నేహితులు. ధరణి మనసు పారేసుకున్న వెన్నెల అనూహ్యంగా సూరిని ఇష్టపడుతుంది. శివన్న(సముతిరఖని), రాజన్న(సాయికుమార్) రాజకీయం వల్ల వీళ్ళ జీవితాల్లో అనూహ్య మార్పులు వస్తాయి. ఊహించని సంఘటనల నడుమ ధరణి లక్ష్యం హింసాత్మకంగా మారిపోతుంది. తర్వాత జరిగేదే అసలు స్టోరీ.

సహజత్వం కూడిన ఇలాంటి రా విలేజ్ డ్రామాల్లో కమర్షియల్ ఫ్లేవర్ ని జోడించడం చాలా కష్టం. అందులోనూ ఇమేజ్ ఉన్న హీరోతో చేస్తున్నప్పుడు ఎన్నో అడ్డంకులు ఉంటాయి. అందుకే మేకర్స్ వీటి జోలికి వెళ్లేందుకు ఎక్కువ ఇష్టపడరు. అయితే రంగస్థలంతో ఈ భ్రమను బ్రేక్ చేసిన క్రెడిట్ సుకుమార్ కు దక్కుతుంది. ఒక నిజాయితీ ప్రయత్నాన్ని బలమైన టేకింగ్ తో చూపించినప్పుడు హీరో హీరోయిన్ కవ్వింపు పాటలు, ఐటెం సాంగులు పెట్టినా పాస్ అవ్వొచ్చని నిరూపించారు. ఆయన శిష్యుడే కాబట్టి దసరా విషయంలో శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల తన డెబ్యూతోనే పెద్ద రిస్క్ కు సిద్ధపడ్డాడు. అసలు నానిని ధరణిగా ఊహించుకోవడమే ఒక సవాల్ లాంటిది.

దసరా సెటప్ ని రిజిస్టర్ చేసేందుకు తగినంత సమయం తీసుకున్న శ్రీకాంత్ ఈ క్రమంలో కొంత నెమ్మదిగా వెళ్లినా పలు ఇంటర్వ్యూలలో చెప్పినట్టు ఏదీ బలవంతంగా ఇరికించే ప్రయత్నం చేయలేదు. రాసుకున్న సబ్జెక్టుకే కట్టుబడ్డాడు. ముందు ప్రధాన పాత్రల మధ్య స్నేహం, ఆ తర్వాత ముక్కోణపు ప్రేమతో మొదలుపెట్టి, క్రమంగా దానికి పొలిటికల్ కలర్ అద్ది రివెంజ్ డ్రామా వైపు మలుపు తిప్పడం మంచి ఆలోచన. ఇంటెన్స్ డ్రామాకు సరిపడా ముడిపాయింట్ ని శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల సరిగ్గా రాసుకున్నాడు. దాన్నే రియలిస్టిక్ డ్రామాగా ప్రెజెంట్ చేయాలని తాపత్రయపడ్డాడు. ఇందులో చాలా మటుకు విజయవంతం అయ్యాడు కూడా.

నిజానికి శ్రీకాంత్ పురాణాలను ప్రత్యేకించి రామాయణాన్ని స్ఫూర్తిగా తీసుకోవడం టైటిల్ తో మొదలుపెట్టి క్లైమాక్స్ లో రావణ దహనం దాకా స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. పరస్త్రీ మీద వ్యామోహపడటం వల్ల అన్ని సుగుణాలున్న రావణుడు చివరికి చరిత్రలో చెడ్డవాడిగా మిగిలాడు. అదే కాంక్ష ఒక దుష్టుడిలో కలిగితే జరిగే దారుణం ఏ స్థాయిలో ఉంటుందో చూపించే చిత్రమే దసరా. కాకపోతే వైవిధ్యం ఉండాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో మలయాళ నటుడిని మెయిన్ విలన్ గా తీసుకొచ్చిన శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల అతన్నుంచి ఆ స్థాయి అవుట్ ఫుట్ ని రాబట్టుకోలేకపోయాడు. ఉదాహరణకు వర్షం – జయం – నిజంలో గోపిచంద్ రేంజ్ ఆర్టిస్టు అయితేనే దీనికి న్యాయం జరిగేది.

ఇంటర్వెల్ దాకా ఒక టోన్ లో నడిపించిన దర్శకుడు విశ్రాంతి దగ్గర షాకింగ్ ట్విస్టు రివీల్ అయ్యాక ఎక్కువ ఎమోషన్ మీద దృష్టి పెట్టడంతో ఒక అరగంట నెమ్మదిగా సాగుతున్న ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. ధరణి, వెన్నెల మధ్య భావోద్వేగాల కోసం అంత సమయం అవసరం లేదు. వాళ్ళ బంధాన్ని ప్రేక్షకులు అపార్థం చేసుకునే అవకాశం లేనప్పుడు అంత విడమరిచి చెప్పాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. వీళ్ళ ప్రేమ కన్నా ధరణి ఎలా ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకుంటాడనే దాని మీదే ఆడియన్స్ దృష్టి ఉంటుంది కాబట్టి వీలైనంత వేగంగా యాక్షన్ తో పరుగులు పెట్టించాలి. ఇక్కడ కొంచెం తడబాటు జరిగింది. పైగా అంతగా అవసరం అనిపించని పాటలు సైతం బ్రేక్ వేశాయి.

ఇదంతా రెండో సగంలో గ్రాఫ్ పరంగా కొంచెం అప్ అండ్ డౌన్ అయినప్పటికీ క్లైమాక్స్ లో తారాస్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లే ఎలివేషన్ తో చివరి ఘట్టాన్ని ముగించడం మాస్ కి గూస్ బంప్స్ ఇస్తుంది. తగలబడుతున్న రావణుడి బొమ్మ ముందు హీరో అతని స్నేహితులు కలిసి విలన్ గ్యాంగ్ ఊచకోత చేసే సన్నివేశం అద్భుతంగా పేలింది. ఇక్కడ ప్రతినాయకుడి ప్రెజెంటేషన్ పరంగా కాస్త డమ్మీగా అనిపించినా అతన్ని లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్న ధరణి చూపించే విశ్వరూపం అప్పటిదాకా ఫీలైన కొన్ని మైనస్సులను కవర్ చేసేసింది. కాకపోతే ఇంత పచ్చిగా ఉన్న ఒక పల్లెటూరి నేపధ్యాన్ని ఫ్యామిలీ జనాలు ఎంతమేరకు రిసీవ్ చేసుకుంటారనేది కొంత వేచి చూడాల్సి రావొచ్చు

శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెలలో నిస్సందేహంగా మంచి టెక్నీషియన్ ఉన్నాడు. అలా అని లోపాలే లేవని కాదు. శివన్న, రాజన్న పాత్రలకు టైటిల్ కార్డ్ నుంచి ఇచ్చిన బిల్డప్ తర్వాత కథపరంగానూ వాడుకునే అవకాశం తీసుకోలేదు. ధరణి, సూరి మధ్య స్నేహబంధం ఇంకొంచెం బలంగా రిజిస్టర్ చేసుంటే ఇంపాక్ట్ పెరిగేది. స్నేహితుడి ప్రేయసిని హీరో చిన్నప్పుడే ఇష్టపడటం లాంటి కాంటెంపరరీ పాయింట్స్ తమిళ మలయాళంలో సహజం కానీ టాలీవుడ్ లోనూ ఇలాంటి సాహసాలు చేయడం ఒకరకంగా మంచిదే. దీన్ని కన్విన్సింగ్ గా చూపించడంలో శ్రీకాంత్ సక్సెస్ అయ్యాడు. మొత్తానికి నెవర్ బిఫోర్ లాంటి ఉపమానాలు కాదు కానీ దసరా గెలిచినట్టే

నానిలో ఉన్న వయొలెంట్ యాక్టర్ దసరాలో పూర్తిగా బయటికి వచ్చాడు. నిజంగా ధరణి ఒంట్లో పూనాడేమో అన్నంతగా తన పాత్రకు ప్రాణ ప్రతిష్ట చేశాడు. యాసని పలికే విధానంతో మొదలుపెట్టి తనకు తిరుగులేని ఆయుధమైన బరువైన ఎమోషన్లను పలికించే దాకా యాక్టింగ్ కోణంలో బాంచెత్ అనిపించేశాడు. కన్నడ నటుడు దీక్షిత్ శెట్టి ఉన్నంతలో మంచి పెర్ఫార్మన్స్ ఇవ్వడానికి స్కోప్ దక్కింది. వాడుకున్నాడు. కీర్తి సురేష్ లుక్స్ తోనే కాదు ఎప్పటిలాగే నటన కూడా భేష్ అనిపించుకుంది. మలయాళ నటుడు షైన్ టామ్ చాకో అంతగా సూటవ్వలేదు. సముతిరఖని. సాయికుమార్, జరీనా వహాబ్, ఝాన్సీ, పూర్ణ తదితరులతో క్వాలిటీ క్యాస్టింగ్ బాగా కుదిరింది

Srikanth Odela's 'Dasara' is a solid, subdued star vehicle that favours emotions over "mass" moments

"Everyone drinks the same alcohol, but our caste determines whether we drink inside the bar or outside." This is something we get to know early on about the situation in the village Srikanth Odela's film is set in. Most men (and even some women) begin their day with drinks and are content to remain alcoholics. Even Nani's hero-introduction shot (he plays Dharani) includes a bottle of booze. And this bar, with an image of Silk Smitha and named after her, is the centre of local politics: it's a sort of prize. The person who wins the elections takes control of the bar, and gets to nominate who becomes the treasurer. That post makes someone a big shot in the village. For a while, Dasara just wants to immerse us in these local politics, these local colours, these local flavours. We get character-establishing scenes, of course – but we also get world-establishing scenes, magnificently shot by Sathyan Sooryan. A coal mine is the centre of economy, and every frame seems dusted with soot. 

Why do these people drink? When a young Dharani asks his grandmother, she says alcohol gives her courage. Cut to a few years later, when Dharani is an adult, he may give the same answer. By numbing his senses, he gets the courage to deal with his dead-end existence and also the fact that the girl he loves (Vennela, played by Keerthi Suresh) is in love with his best friend Soori (Dheekshith Shetty). All three actors are in top form, though Nani gets the meatiest role and bites into it with every fibre of his being, giving a performance that is as much physical as emotional. The film does something interesting with Vennela. She becomes the fulcrum of not just a love triangle but also an unexpected lust angle, courtesy the villain named Nambi (Shine Tom Chacko, in one of the rare times he feels out of sorts). When – in a super-effective scene – Nambi kills Soori, we think it's because of the caste wars. But the real reason is that Soori has married Vennela, who Nambi lusts after.

This is a superb twist, because it paints Nambi (and the screenplay) in more than one shade, and it takes the second half in an unexpected direction. Nambi is not just someone who does not want the oppressed to get ahead, he's also a womaniser whose lust is painted in fetishistic terms. So the film's first half tackles the alcohol and caste angle, and the second half goes into Vennala's plight and how responsibility makes Dharani a better man (i.e., how he turns from zero to hero). He knows that he can no longer numb his senses with alcohol. He needs to be alert, alive. He needs to complete the transformation from loser to saviour. The depiction of the villain as Ravana (see the film's title) is an age-old screenwriting cliche, but here, there's a "Sita" in the form of Vennela. The metaphor works. The plot point of a love triangle that involves two best friends is another cliche, but it's written and handled well – with minimal melodrama. This is assured writing, assured filmmaking.

A plot point most famously used in Swathi Muthyam is used brilliantly here – and Santhosh Narayanan does beautiful work, subverting a lot of background-score cliches. For instance, during a chase sequence, we just get a few minimalistic cello lines, while most of the background is filled with thunder and lightning and the cries and the panting of the attackers and the people being attacked. Dasara is not groundbreaking cinema, but it has a certain integrity to it. It takes time to build scenes, to set up the reveals. There may not be many "mass" highs, but there's a sense of steadiness in the emotional graphs and in the narrative. Anyone who has seen a masala movie knows that the hero will kill the villain, but Dasara makes the hero earn this machismo. Dharani undergoes a lot of mental trauma, and he has to shake this off before becoming the inevitable superhero. This is one of the most subdued star vehicles I have seen.

Dasara Review

Dasara (2023) Movie: What's Behind

Natural Star Nani who is known for realistic performances teamed with newcomer Srikanth Odela for a mass entertainer Dasara. The film's first look, teaser, and trailer showed Nani in a completely different and rugged role with full mass shades increasing the interest levels among movie lovers. The film with Singareni Collieries backdrop and inspired by real-life incidents is releasing on 30 March 2023 on the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami across the country in various languages. The film's OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix for a fancy sum and streaming will be on after the end of its theatrical run. Let us find out whether Nani could create a mass explosion at the Pan India level with Dasara.

Dasara Movie: Story Review

Dasara's story is all about a young ruffian who spends time with his gang and how his life changes due to one incident. Dharani (Nani) from Vellampally enjoys time with his childhood friends Suri (Dheekshith Shetty), and Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). Dharani is attracted to Vennela whom he loves a lot but she has other ideas.

In between, his happy life takes a drastic turn and where this leads to how it is connected to Chinna Nambi (Shine Tom Chacko), Shivanna (Samuthirakhani), and Rajanna(Sai Kumar) form the rest of the story.

Dasara Movie: Artists Review

Nani who is known as a natural performer lived in the role. His makeover and mannerisms blow the minds of all. He showed good variations showcasing the feelings and emotions in love, action, romance and humor. He put on intense effort but one gets a feeling that Srikanth Odela failed to power Nani's character to new heights.

Keerthy Suresh also played a completely different and rustic role. She performed well and her scenes with Nani stand out. Her dialogue delivery is quite good and she played the role of a youthful, bubbly village belle quite well.

Deekshith Shetty played his role to perfection while Shine Tom Chacko played an important part. Sai Kumar, Jhansi, and Poorna got typical roles and they played accordingly. Samuthirakhani got an inconsequential role much to the surprise of all.

Dasara Movie: Technicians Review

Dasara story readied by debutante Srikanth Odela is a pure raw rustic and adrenaline-rushing one. It is full of human emotions involving friends, lovers, politicians, and society. As Srikanth Odela is the protege of Sukumar, he seems to have been inspired by his mentor. Unlike others, he chose an intense story on debut to make his mark. Srikanth Odela starts the narration by introducing various characters in the village of Vellampally. Though it takes time, he succeeded in taking viewers along with him into the story.

He showcased the incidents that happened in the lives of three friends in the small village and how they got affected due to the politics surrounding them. The entire first half is dedicated to village politics and also the proceedings in the lives of Dharani, Suri, and Vennela but viewers will be in for a shock with the unexpected interval bang. This takes the film to another level increasing expectations for the second half.

But the second half goes on a predictable note highlighting the proceedings between Dharani and Vennela. The pace dips down considerably and after the predictable proceedings, the film comes to an end with the climax which comes with a twist. Srikanth Odela's story is interesting but except for a few twists here and there, his screenplay has more troughs than crests. Few emotional scenes excite but the moment one expects a high ride, they will be in for a downside. The characterization of the antagonist did not make a powerful and intense mark and Shine Thomas did not suite the role. This unevenness in the screenplay, affected the direction and narration.

Dialogues are quite effective and made an impact. Here are few of the dialogues. "okokkaniki molthadu kinda gudaral ralthay bancheth”. “maa nayannamma thodu oka debba padda chaccipotha rendo debba padithe pani sutha ledhu”. “taagi marchipovudu thappu kaadhu.. thappu chesi marichipovudu thappu”.

“etlaithe gatlane chusukundham, padi talakayalu unnode okka thalakaya unnodi chethilo kukka chavu chacchindu, puranalaku minchina bathukula manavi”.

Santosh Narayanan's music for the songs highlighted the Telangana beats. The songs are situational and well shot. Batukamma song 'chittu chittula gumma' is well shot. Dhoom Dhaam Dostaan,Ori Vaari,Oh Ammalaalo are perfectly placed and appealed to all. However, the chartbuster Chamkeela Angelesi looked forced and it did not set the screens on fire.  Santosh Narayanan made a huge impact with his background music which took the film to another level. The cinematography of Sathyan Sooryan is good and realistic. They showed the Singareni collieries in a captivating manner. The night visuals and the rustic atmosphere is not in perfect way. The cinematography beautified the film. But the graphics are not up to the mark, especially during the introduction train robbery sequence. The editing of Naveen Nooli is ok but could have been better at times as the film slowed down a bit due to a few drags. Stunts are choreographed in an impactful manner, especially in the interval and the climax. Production values of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas are good.

Altogether, Dasara is a rustic action film starring Nani under Srikanth Odela's direction shows Nani in a completely different role. Nani's mass moves drive all his fans and even the masses crazy. Srikanth Odela emerged successful in showing Nani differently and this helped Nani increase his following among the masses. Srikanth Odela on debut did a good job. However, had he finetuned the script and moulded his screenplay to elevate Nani's heroism even more, Dasara would have made a powerful explosion. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 3 Rating for Dasara .

Nani had never spoken so confidently about a film or toured across India to promote it before 'Dasara.' The film has received a lot of attention in recent weeks. Nani's promotion of the film gave the impression that it would be a major milestone. Is it really that good?

Let us look into it.

Story: Set in the 1990s in a village called Veerlapally in the Singareni coal mine area, the film begins with the story of three childhood friends, Dharani (Nani), Soori (Deekshith Shetty), and Vennela (Keerthy Suresh).

The villagers are always drinking and spend most of their time at Silk bar. Local politics between Rajanna (Saikumar), Shivanna(Samuthirakani) and the latter's son Chinna Nambi (Shine Tom Chacko) threaten to disrupt their lives.

What effect does a political leader's game plan have on the lives of the three friends?

Artistes’ Performances: For this film, Nani reinvented himself. He played a rustic character for the first time, which was unlike any of his previous roles. He sinks into the role and delivers an amazing outcome. The effort he has put in for the role is evident throughout, and he is the film's main pillar.

The award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh delivers another believable performance in the author-backed role. She is the central character around whom the plot revolves.

Deekshith Shetty, who plays the hero's friend, gives an effective performance. Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has also given a good performance. There are many actors, but none of them receive adequate recognition.

Technical Excellence: The film's cinematography is the first thing that stands out because the film is entirely set in a coal mine. The dark color palette of the color scheme works so well with Sooryan's imaginative camera work.

The music by Santosh Narayanan yields mixed results. The production design is flawless, and the production values are excellent. The dialogues are neat.

Analysis "Dasara" makes its intentions clear from the start, with the hero entering the scene in a coal mine area and his friend assisting him. The scene establishes the story's theme of friendship, and gradually introduces the lives of the two friends, as well as the villagers addicted to alcohol in the coal mine area. It is also quickly established that the two friends are in love with the same girl, Keerthy Suresh. So, the first sections are predictable and move at a slow pace.

However, the film is more about creating atmosphere and focusing on characters than it is about plot. The design of the hero's character is impressive. He's timid and only gains courage when he consumes alcohol. And when he drinks, he loses control and can do whatever he wants. This characteristic trait of the protagonist is used so effectively in the later portions of the film, including the interval twist.

Additionally, there are cultural and social references that are properly established, such as women in Telangana performing Bhatukamma during the Dasara festival and Ravana's effigy being burnt on the festival day. The director effectively employs these cultural aspects in his storytelling.

If we take these elements out of the film, it becomes more or less a typical revenge drama. Srikanth Odela, the new director, has prioritized mood and visual palette over story.

The film's biggest surprise is the interval bang. The pre-interval chase sequence and the intermission bang are handled expertly, revealing the villain's true intentions at the start of the second half. As a consequence, the remainder becomes more predictable, and many sequences are bland. The running time is also too long, and the film definitely needs sharp editing.

Furthermore, the film, whether intentionally or unintentionally, attempts to follow the template of "Rangasthalam," but lacks the gripping screenplay that the Sukumar movie had. Caste politics are also mentioned in the film, but they are not properly established.

Additionally, the period (probably set in the 1990s) is shown as if it happened in the 60's or 70's, even though most villages had more modern facilities by the 1990s, even in remote coal mine areas.

Overall, "Dasara" is a regular revenge drama that relies more on visual style and grand making than the plot. It is watchable because of its ambition and Nani’s performance.

కథేంటంటే.. కరీంనగర్‌ జిల్లా వీర్లపల్లి గ్రామంలో జరిగే కథ ఇది. ఆ గ్రామానికి చెందిన ధరణి(నాని), సూరి(దీక్షిత్‌ శెట్టి) ప్రాణ స్నేహితులు. బొగ్గు రైళ్లను కొల్లగొడుతూ.. వచ్చిన డబ్బుతో ఊర్లోని సిల్క్‌ బార్‌కి వెళ్లి మద్యం సేవిస్తూ లైఫ్‌ని ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తుంటారు. ధరణి, సూరిల చిన్నప్పటి స్నేహితురాలు వెన్నెల(కీర్తి సురేశ్‌) ఓ అంగన్‌వాడి టీచర్‌. వెన్నెల అంటే ధరణికి చాలా ఇష్టం. కానీ సూరి కూడా వెన్నెలని ప్రేమించడంతో.. స్నేహం కోసం ధరణి తన ప్రేమను త్యాగం చేస్తాడు.

అయితే సిల్క్‌ బార్‌లో జరిగిన ఓ గొడవ కారణంగా వీళ్ల జీవితాలు అనుకోని మలుపులు తిరుగుతాయి. ధరణి స్నేహితులపై ఓ ముఠా ఎందుకు దాడి చేసింది? శివన్న(సముద్రఖని), రాజన్న(సాయి కుమార్‌) రాజకీయ వైరం వల్ల గ్రామంలో ఎలాంటి సమస్యలు ఎదురయ్యాయి? చిన్న నంబి (షైన్ టామ్ చాకో)తో ధరణి చేసిన చాలెంజ్‌ ఏంటి? సూరి ఇష్టపడిన అమ్మాయి వెన్నెలను ధరణి ఎందుకు పెళ్లి చేసుకున్నాడు? ధరణి ప్రేమను వెన్నెల అర్థం చేసుకుందా?  తన స్నేహితులకు జరిగిన అన్యాయంపై ధరణి ఏ విధంగా ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకున్నాడు? అనేదే మిగతా కథ. 

ఎలా ఉందంటే.. తెలంగాణ నెటివిటితో సాగే ఓ రివేంజ్‌ డ్రామా చిత్రం ‘దసరా’. ఈ తరహా చిత్రాలు తెలుగు తెరకు కొత్తేమి కాదు. బ్లాక్‌ అండ్‌ వైట్‌ కాలం నుంచి మొన్నటి రంగస్థలం వరకు ఈ తరహా చిత్రాలు చాలానే వచ్చాయి. అయితే ఈ రొటీన్‌ కథకు సింగరేణి బ్యాక్‌డ్రాప్‌ పాయింట్‌ని జోడించి రియలిస్టిక్‌గా తెరపై చూపించాడు దర్శకుడు శ్రీకాంత్‌ ఓదెల. తొలి చిత్రమైనా ఎంతో అనుభవం ఉన్న దర్శకుడిలా సినిమాను తెరకెక్కించాడు. తను రాసుకున్న ప్రతి పాయింట్‌ని వాస్తవికతకు దగ్గరగా ఉన్నది ఉన్నట్లుగా తెర రూపం ఇచ్చాడు. 

ఇది రివేంజ్‌ డ్రామా అయినా.. అంతర్లీనంగా అందమైన ప్రేమ కథతో పాటు స్నేహ బంధం, ఊరి రాజకీయాలు, తెలంగాణ గ్రామ ప్రజల జీవన శైలిని సజీవంగా చూపిస్తూ కథను రక్తి కట్టించాడు. ఫస్టాఫ్‌ మొత్తం ధరణి, సూరిల స్నేహ బంధం చుట్టూ తిరుగుతుంది. వాటితో పాటు ఊర్లోని సిల్క్‌ బార్‌పై ఆదిపత్యం కోసం రాజన్న, శివన్న చేసే రాజకీయాలను చూపించారు. ఇక ఇంటర్వెల్‌ ముందు వచ్చే ఫైట్‌ సీన్‌ అదిరిపోతుంది. ఒక్క చిన్న ట్విస్ట్‌తో విరామం పడుతుంది.

 ఇక సెకండాఫ్‌ మొత్తం తన స్నేహితులను అన్యాయం చేసినవారిపై ధరణి ఎలా రివేంజ్‌ తీసుకున్నాడనేది చూపించారు. అయితే కథనం మొత్తం ఊహకందేలా సాగడం మైనస్‌.  స‌వ‌తి సోద‌రులు శివ‌న్న‌, రాజ‌న్న మ‌ధ్య రాజ‌కీయ వైరం అంటూ కథను మొదలు పెట్టిన దర్శకుడు.. ఆ రెండు క్యారెక్టర్ల మధ్య వైరాన్ని మాత్రం బలంగా చూపించలేకపోయాడు. అలాగే ఓ చిన్న ట్విస్ట్‌ ఇచ్చి సెకండాఫ్‌లో కథ మొత్తాన్ని సైడ్‌ట్రాక్‌ పట్టించాడు. కథ స్వభావం రిత్యా ఎమోషన్స్‌ ఇంకాస్త పండించి ఉంటే బాగుండేది. అయితే దర్శకుడు మాత్రం చాలా నిజాయితీగా చిత్రాన్ని తెరకెక్కించాడు. 

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే..  నాని నటన గురించి అందరికి తెలిసిందే. ఎలాంటి పాత్రలోనైనా జీవించడం ఆయనకు అలవాటు. అతని నటన చాలా సహజంగా ఉంటుంది.అందుకే నేచురల్‌ స్టార్‌ అయ్యాడు.అయితే ఇప్పటి వరకు నాని చేసిన పాత్రలు ఒకెత్తు.. ధరణి పాత్ర మరో ఎత్తు. తన కెరీర్‌ బెస్ట్‌ ఫెర్మార్మెన్స్‌ ఇచ్చాడు నాని. ధర‌ణి క్యారెక్ట‌ర్ కోసం మేకోవ‌ర్ అయిన తీరు బాగుంది. ఊరమాస్‌ పాత్రలో జీవించేశాడు.

ఇక వెన్నెలగా కీర్తి సురేశ్‌ తనదైన నటనతో ఆకట్టుకుంది. తెలంగాణలోని పల్లెటూరి అమ్మాయిగా అద్భుతంగా నటించింది. సినిమా మొత్తం ఈ పాత్ర చుట్టే తిరుగుతుంది. సూరి పాత్రకు దీక్షిత్‌ శెట్టి న్యాయం చేశాడు. ఇక రాజన్నగా సాయికుమార్‌, శివన్నగా సముద్రఖని పర్వాలేదపించారు. పూర్ణ పాత్రకు అంతగా ప్రాధాన్యత లేదు. మిగిలిన నటీనటులు తమ పాత్రల పరిధిమేర నటించారు. 

ఇక సాంకేతిక విషయాలకొస్తే.. ఈ సినిమాకి ప్రాణం పోసింది ఆర్ట్ డైరెక్టర్ అవినాష్ కొల్లా.  22 ఎకరాల్లో వేసిన వేసిన విలేజ్‌ సెట్‌ అద్భుతం. సినిమా కోసం ఓ పల్లెటూరిని నిజంగానే సృష్టించాడు. సంతోష్‌ నారాయణన్‌ నేపథ్య సంగీతం, పాటలు ఈ సినిమాకు ప్లస్‌ అయ్యాయి.  సత్యన్‌ సూరన్‌ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ చాలా బాగుంది. నిర్మాణ విలువలు సినిమా స్థాయికి తగ్గట్లు చాలా ఉన్నతంగా ఉన్నాయి.

Natural Star Nani is gearing up for the biggest bet in his career. Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara is a rustic Telangana-based village drama. Keerthy Suresh played the leading lady and the music composed by Santosh Narayanan is a massive hit. Sudhakar Cherukuri’s SLV Cinemas are the producers and the film is hitting the screens today. Here is the review of Dasara:

Dasara is a rustic village story that revolves around three friends Dharani ( Nani) , Vennela ( Keerthy Suresh), and Suri ( Shetty). Set in 1995, the Crux of the story is how sarpanch Nambi (played by Shine Tom Chacko) impacts the lives of the lead trio. The film is set in the backdrop of singareni mines of Telangana.

Dasara film comes with a lot of expectations but meets them only partially. The village backdrop films are nothing new to us, but to give a different look to the film, the team has picked a Telangana village backdrop. The completely rustic setup came out well and the characters synchronized into the story effectively. Debutante direct Srikanth Odela has done decent work in many aspects but missed an opportunity to convert it into a great film. The story has its moments around the interval block and in post-interval scenes. The sarpanch Nambi thread came out well. The friendship and sacrifice thread of Dharani and Suri worked out for a while. Dharani’s decision in a crucial scene has much potential to generate emotions in the second half but the narration revolves around revenge drama only.

The superhit song ‘ Chamkhila Angeelesi’ comes at a serious juncture, very ineffective on the screen. The story is too simplified and lost its steam somewhere in middle. The climax fight appeals to the masses, but the closing scene (return of Nani) is a misfired one.

A noticeable strength of the film is the dialogue department; they are good in many scenes. Director Srikanth Odela has shown strength in making at Interval block and climax. The introduction train sequence with cheap graphics is a failed attempt. Santhosh Narayanan’s music and background score is good. Suryan’s cinematography is excellent. Capturing the shot effectively even in low-lighting scenes is good. Overall, this film scores well in the technical department.

Performances:

Nani delivers career-best performance; we cannot imagine anyone else in Dharani’s role. His Telangana diction is so perfect as well. Keerthy Suresh in de glamour role is just fine; a couple of her scenes are overaction. Dheekshith Shetty as suri a good casting. Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko plays the main villain character and he is good. Samudrakhani got an insignificant role. Saikumar’s role is minimal and so is Jhansi as Keerthy suresh’s mother.

• Impressive dialogues
• Emotions did not work except in a couple of scenes
• Very Slow paced narration
• Predictability

Dasara is an average film with raw scenes and an authentic setup. Hero Nani’s outstanding natural performance, Debutante director Srikanth’s spark in some scenes, and action blocks compensate for the slow proceedings to an extent. The second half is a slow-paced one and tests patience here and there. Overall, a decent watch.

Srikanth Odela, Jella Srinath, Arjuna Paturi and Vamsi Krishna P. have written a rather predictable story and screenplay, which may involve the audience but dont really impress them much because they move on the beaten path. The love story is not very heartwarming. In fact, there is hardly any romance. The second half gets a bit boring too, mainly because the warmth of a love story after marriage is almost missing. Overall, the presentation and performances are better than the script. Dialogues are ordinary.On the whole, Dasara is an average fare for the Hindi-speaking audience.

The climax of Dasara is one that steals the show. It is a never-before action-packed massacre from Nani and he appears monstrous with a weapon in hand. Because of its excellent technical work, realistic setting, strong lead acting, and exciting conclusion, dasara is a fine one-time watch. On the other hand, because it focuses more on drama and emotions than on surprise, the narrative lacks any element of surprise.

Dasara is a period-action-adventure film written and directed by debutant Srikanth Odela. It stars Nani and Keerthy Suresh. The film is set in the backdrop of Singareni coal mines near Godavarikhani of Telangana. The music was composed by Santhosh Narayan while the cinematography was done by Sathyam Sooryan ISC and it is edited by Navin Nooli. The film is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner.

Natural star Nani has undergone a substantial makeover for his upcoming action thriller drama Dasara which released in theaters today. The film is promoted as a rooted and rustic action drama. Here’s our review of the film.

Dharani (Nani) and Suri (Dekkshit Shetty) are close friends who hail from the same village and love the same girl Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). Knowing Suri’s interest in Vennela, Dharani sacrifices his love and helps get them married. Are they happily married? How village politics between Shivanna and Rajanna (Sai Kumar)play a role in Dharani and Suri’s life forms the rest of the story

What about the on-screen performances?

Nani lived up to the hype with his performance. His act in the introduction scene, beedi scenes, and climax scenes is something to look out for.  

Keerthy Suresh performed well, especially the special mass dance sequence by her is worth mentioning. Shine Tom Chacko as chinnaNambi is excellent as one of the antagonist. Deekshith Shetty as hero’s friend did justice to his role. Other actors in the movie did their part well.

What about off-screen talents?

Srikanth Odela attempted a honest rustic rural drama, but was not able to fully convey the emotions of love and friendship in a way that will engage an audience. The raw and rustic nature of the film demand a capable and sound filmmaker. He took two different emotions but failed to do justice to either one of them, rather ended up diluting both emotions. The narrative style that he chooses is very slow and the characterization that he designed for Nani makes it to be monotonous as the movie progresses.  

The background score by Santosh Narayanan is of top-notch quality. The visuals by Sathyan Sooryan are a highlight of the film as he has delivered a grade-A job when it comes to visual composition and color grading. The dusty visuals and the rustic vibe are blended pretty well to make for a good visual experience.DOP Sathyan Sooryan’s work set the right mood for the movie as the movie carries a rustic look throughout.

• Director took much of cinematic liberty
• Songs does not give any break to the audience from intense drama
• Slow narration

The director is not so successful in effectively conveying the friendship and love emotions.

Dharani sacrifices his love for his friend’s sake. Dahrani and Soori has to win a cricket tournament to get cashier post in SilkBar.

Final Report :

Dasara is a rustic rural drama that weakly engages its audience on the emotional front, despite good performances from its lead cast. Mr. Bachchan Movie Review: రవితేజ హీరోగా మిస్టర్ బచ్చన్ అనే సినిమా అనౌన్స్ చేసినప్పటి నుంచి సినిమా మీద ఆసక్తి ఏర్పడింది. దానికి కారణం స్వతహాగా రవితేజ అమితాబ్ బచ్చన్ అభిమాని కావడం. అయితే సినిమా అనౌన్స్ చేసిన తర్వాత మిస్టర్ బచ్చన్ సినిమాలో హీరోయిన్ భాగ్యశ్రీ బోర్సే ఒక్కసారిగా అందరి దృష్టిని ఆకర్షించింది. ఆమె లుక్ రిలీజ్ అయినప్పటి నుంచి సినిమా గురించి అనేక రకాల చర్చలు జరుగుతూ వచ్చాయి. హరీష్ శంకర్ దర్శకత్వంలో పీపుల్ మీడియా ఫ్యాక్టరీ బ్యానర్ మీద విశ్వప్రసాద్ నిర్మించిన ఈ సినిమా ఎట్టకేలకు ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చేసింది. అనేక అంచనాలతో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చిన ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది? ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకుందా లేదా అనేది ఇప్పుడు మనం రివ్యూలో చూద్దాం

మిస్టర్ బచ్చన్ సినిమా కథ: బచ్చన్(రవితేజ) ఒక నిజాయితీ గల ఇన్కమ్ టాక్స్ అధికారి. ఒక పవర్ఫుల్ వ్యక్తి మీద ఇన్కమ్ టాక్స్ రైడ్ చేయడంతో సస్పెన్షన్ కి గురవుతాడు. సస్పెండ్ అయిన తర్వాత ఇంటికి వెళ్లి తాను ఇన్కమ్ టాక్స్ అధికారిగా సెలెక్ట్ అవ్వకముందు లానే హిందీ పాటల ఆర్కెస్ట్రాలో పని చేస్తూ ప్రోగ్రామ్స్ కి అటెండ్ అవుతూ ఉంటాడు. ఇదే క్రమంలో ఆ ఊరి అమ్మాయి జిక్కి(భాగ్యశ్రీ)తో ప్రేమలో పడతాడు. ఈ విషయం ఇద్దరి ఇళ్లలో తెలిసిపోయి అరేంజ్డ్ మ్యారేజ్ కూడా ఫిక్స్ చేస్తారు. సరిగ్గా అదే సమయానికి సస్పెన్షన్ ఎత్తివేసి మరో పవర్ఫుల్ వ్యక్తి మీద ఇన్కమ్ టాక్స్ రైడ్ చేయాలని బచ్చన్ ను పిలిపిస్తారు పై అధికారులు. అలా బచ్చన్ ను పిలిపించిన పై అధికారులు ఎవరి ఇంటి మీద రైడ్ చేయించారు? నిజాయితీగల బచ్చన్ ఆ ఇంటి మీద రైడ్ చేసి ఎలా బయటపడ్డాడు? అసలు ఆ పవర్ ఫుల్ వ్యక్తి ఎవరు? లాంటి విషయాలు తెలియాలంటే సినిమాను బిగ్ స్క్రీన్ మీద చూడాల్సిందే.

విశ్లేషణ: సినిమా అనౌన్స్ చేసినప్పుడే ఈ సినిమా బాలీవుడ్ లో సూపర్ హిట్ గా నిలిచిన రైడ్ అనే సినిమాకి రీమేక్ అని మేకర్స్ లీకులు ఇచ్చారు. ఆసక్తికరమైన అంశం ఏమిటంటే సినిమా పూర్తయిన తర్వాత మాత్రం రైడ్ నుంచి ఒక కీలక సన్నివేశం మాత్రమే తీసుకున్నామని మిగతాదంతా రవితేజ ఇమేజ్ కి, తెలుగు మార్కెట్ కి తగినట్లు మార్పులు చేర్పులు చేసామని చెబుతూ వచ్చారు. అయితే సినిమా ఓపెనింగ్ నుంచి కాస్త ఆసక్తికరంగా కథను నడిపించడంలో డైరెక్టర్ కొంతవరకు సఫలమయ్యాడు. నిజానికి హరీష్ శంకర్ గద్దలకొండ గణేష్ సినిమా చేసి చాలా కాలమైంది. ఆ తర్వాత ఆయన నుంచి వస్తున్న సినిమా కావడంతో ఆయన అభిమానులు సైతం ఈ సినిమా కోసం ఎదురు చూశారు. హరీష్ శంకర్ మార్క్ డైలాగులు మాత్రం సినిమాలో మెండుగా ఉన్నాయి. అయితే ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ విషయానికి వస్తే అసలు రవితేజకు ఈ బచ్చన్ అనే పేరు ఎందుకు వచ్చింది? బచ్చన్ క్యారెక్టర్ ఏంటి? జిక్కితో ప్రేమ, పెళ్లికి దారి తీసే పరిస్థితులు అంటూ సరదా సరదాగానే సాగిపోతుంది. మధ్యలో సత్య అండ్ బ్యాచ్ చేసే హడావుడితో సరదా సరదాగా సాగిపోతున్న ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. అయితే సెకండ్ హాఫ్ మొదలైన తర్వాత ప్రేక్షకుల సహనానికి పరీక్ష ఏమో అన్నట్టుగా సినిమా సాగుతుంది. ఎందుకంటే ఒరిజినల్ సినిమాలో సినిమా ఓపెనింగ్ లోనే రైడ్ మొదలవుతుంది. కానీ ఈ తెలుగులో మాత్రం ఇంటర్వెల్ నుంచి రైడ్ మొదలైనట్లు చూపించారు. అయితే ఒకానొక దశలో ఈ రైడ్ సీన్స్ చూస్తే ప్రేక్షకులకు గతంలో చూసిన సినిమానే చూసిన ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. ఇక సెకండ్ హాఫ్ లో రాసుకున్న కొన్ని కామెడీ ట్రాక్స్ పర్ఫెక్ట్ గా సెట్ అవ్వలేదు అనిపించింది. నిజానికి హరీష్ శంకర్ కామెడీ కూడా చాలా బాగా రాస్తాడని పేరుంది. గబ్బర్ సింగ్, దువ్వాడ జగన్నాథం, మిరపకాయ, గద్దల కొండ గణేష్ లాంటి సినిమాలలో సైతం ఇలాంటి కామెడీ ట్రాక్స్ ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. అయితే ఈ సినిమా విషయంలో కాస్త డబుల్ మీనింగ్ డోస్ ఎక్కువై కొన్ని కామెడీ సీన్స్ పట్టాలు తప్పి క్రింజ్ అనిపించేలా ఉన్నాయి. అయితే ఓవరాల్ గా సినిమా ప్రేక్షకులను ఎంటర్టైన్ చేసే విధంగా తీర్చిదిద్దడంలో హరీష్ శంకర్ పూర్తి స్థాయిలో సఫలమయ్యాడు అనలేం కానీ కొంతవరకు ప్రేక్షకులను ఎంగేజ్ చేయడంలో సక్సెస్ అయ్యాడు. నిజానికి ఇదంతా ఒక కమర్షియల్ ఫార్మాట్ లో చేసిన సినిమా. లవ్ ట్రాక్, కామెడీ, ఫైట్లు, పాటలు ఇలా అన్ని సమపాళ్లలో రాసుకున్నారు కానీ పూర్తిస్థాయిలో ప్రేక్షకులను ఎంటర్టైన్ చేసే విషయంలో కాస్త తడబడ్డారు. కానీ ఈ సినిమాకి ఒకరకంగా ఏ సెంటర్ కంటే బీ,సీ సెంటర్ల ఆడియన్స్ కీలకం. వాళ్లకి ఇంత విశ్లేషించే ఓపిక ఉండదు సినిమా చూస్తున్నంత సేపు ఎంటర్టైన్ అయ్యామా లేదా అనేదే చూస్తారు. అలాంటి వాళ్లకు సినిమా ఎక్కే అవకాశాలు మెండుగా ఉన్నాయి.

నటీనటుల విషయానికి వస్తే బచ్చన్ అనే పాత్రలో రవితేజ ఎప్పటిలాగే తనదైన ఎనర్జీతో రెచ్చిపోయాడు. ముఖ్యంగా డాన్స్లు, ఫైట్లు అయితే ఒక రేంజ్ లో ఆడేసుకున్నాడు. భాగ్యశ్రీ తో కెమిస్ట్రీ కూడా తెరమీద భలే అందంగా కనిపించింది. భాగ్యశ్రీ కూడా తనదైన స్క్రీన్ ప్రజన్స్ తో రవితేజను కొన్నిచోట్ల డామినేట్ చేసింది అనడంలో ఎలాంటి సందేహం లేదు. అయితే ఆమె డబ్బింగ్ కొన్నిచోట్ల పరవాలేదు అనిపించినా కొన్నిచోట్ల వేరే ఎవరితోనైనా చెప్పిస్తే బాగుండు అనిపించేలా ఉంది. అయితే రవితేజతో ఆమె చేసిన డాన్స్ మాత్రం ఒక రేంజ్ లో వర్కౌట్ అయింది. వీరిద్దరి కెమిస్ట్రీ సాంగ్స్ లో కూడా చూడముచ్చటగా అనిపించింది. సిద్దు జొన్నలగడ్డ పాత్ర ఇరికించినట్లే అనిపించినా ఉన్నంతలో కాసేపు థియేటర్లో ప్రేక్షకులను విజిల్స్ వేయించేలా చేసుకున్నాడు. మధ్యలో దేవి శ్రీ ప్రసాద్ కూడా ఒక పాటలో ఇలా వచ్చే అలా వెళ్ళిపోతాడు అనుకోండి. ఇక తనికెళ్ల భరణి, గౌతమి, సచిన్ కేడ్కర్, జగపతిబాబు సహా మిగతా పాత్రధారులు అందరూ తమ తమ పాత్రల పరిధి మేరకు నటించారు.. అయితే సత్య, ప్రవీణ్, సుదర్శన్, చంద్ర వంటి చాలామంది కమెడియన్లు ఉన్న ఎందుకో సత్య, చంద్రాలకే కామెడీ చేసే స్కోప్ దక్కింది. అన్నపూర్ణమ్మ కూడా సరదాగా కాసేపు నవ్వించింది. ఇక టెక్నికల్ టీం విషయానికి వస్తే డైలాగ్ రైటర్ ఈసారి హరీష్ శంకర్ తో కలిసి పెద్ద రచ్చే చేశారు. చాలా డైలాగులు చాలామందికి తగిలేలా రాసుకోవడంలో సక్సెస్ అయ్యారు. అయితే కొంత డబ్బులు మీనింగ్ డోస్ కూడా ఎక్కువ అయిన ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. ఇక సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ భలే ఆసక్తికరంగా అనిపించింది. దాదాపు అన్ని ఫ్రేమ్స్ ని కలర్ఫుల్ గా చూపించడంలో సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్ సక్సెస్ అయ్యాడు. మ్యూజిక్ గురించి చెప్పాల్సింది ఏముంది? పాటలు ఇప్పటికే చాట్ బస్టర్స్ అయ్యాయి. అవి స్క్రీన్ మీద కూడా ఎంతో అందంగా కనిపించాయి. అయితే నిడివి విషయంలో కొంత కేర్ తీసుకుని ఉంటే బాగుండేది. పీపుల్ మీడియా ఫ్యాక్టరీ నిర్మాణ విలువలు అత్యద్భుతంగా ఉన్నాయి.

ఫైనల్లీ మిస్టర్ బచ్చన్ ఒక హానెస్ట్ ఆఫీసర్ కథ.. అంచనాలు లేకుండా థియేటర్ కి వెళ్తే కొందరికి కనెక్ట్ అవ్వచ్చు.

Natural Star Nani and highly talented filmmaker Vivek Athreya joined hands once again for the action thriller Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. What makes this film more remarkable is that it features one of the most versatile actors in the country, SJ Suryah. The Kollywood actor’s birthday glimpse, which was released a few days back, grabbed eyeballs, and the theatrical trailer has now increased expectations by leaps and bounds.

There are many things to rave about in the trailer, but the unique characterization of Nani (Blend of Yama and Chitragupta traits) instantly catches our attention, and it is definitely the USP of this flick. Nani has mostly done boy-next-door roles in his career, but with Dasara, the gem of an actor shifted gears and surprised everyone, essaying a raw and rustic role. With Saripodhaa, Sanivaaram Nani is looking to take the madness to the next level, and the trailer proves the same.

SJ Suryah is at his usual best, showcasing his expertise. He and Nani being at loggerheads is definitely a treat to watch on the big screens. Vivek Athreya has neatly packed the trailer with hair-rising moments, goosebumps stuff, and a gist of what to expect from this actioner. Jakes Bejoy has heated things up with his electrifying beats. His thumping score offers an extraordinary viewing experience.

To witness this intense action thriller, we must wait till August 29th. The production values by DVV Danayya are brilliant, and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram looks no less than a big-scale film. Priyanka Mohan seems to be playing a pivotal role in the narrative, besides appearing as the protagonist’s love interest. Sai Kumar plays another crucial role. Will Nani score his biggest hit with Saripodhaa Sanivaaram? Let’s wait and watch.
