Hi, I'm having a problem while creating a world. Whatever I do (change world settings or not) results in the warning "Worlds using Experimental Settings are not supported [...]". The thing is that I never turned on such an option, I don't know why it's in "experimental settings".
From what I found, it seems like experimental is in Bedrock Edition, not Java. I'm playing in 1.16.2 with Forge 33.0.61.
Here is my worldgen settings export : http://pastebin.fr/65113
And here are my mods : https://ibb.co/9tDDtnG https://ibb.co/Qfm0rRB

Since you play modded, ask the authors of the mod you are playing (otherwise why using Forge?)

- Minecraft: TheMasterCaver
This is a warning message from vanilla, not a mod, regarding the new custom world settings introduced in 1.16; it seems to suggest that the settings are not fully official yet and could change at any time (though the use of a mod could be causing the warning to appear even for a default world - I assume that you are creating a world with the "default" world type, not "custom" or using a json file): https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-java-edition/recent-updates-and-snapshots/3026862-worlds-using-experimental-settings-are-not
TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download. TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4. Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Thank you, yes it seems like it comes from a mod that is changing generation (likely to be mahou tsukai) so the game thinks it's experimental while it just comes from a mod.
It doesn't answer why I can't load my previous save but I guess it's another problem.

Feature Toggles in Java Edition
Feature Toggles will be available in Minecraft: Java Edition starting with the 22w42a snapshot . These toggles allow players to opt-in to experimental, and potentially unstable, features that may not be released for some time, but are ready for early community testing and feedback. Weâre adding Feature Toggles to make sure you're getting new experimental features even earlier than before in our Java snapshots and releases.
What is a Java Edition feature toggle?
When enabled, a feature toggle can expose new items, mobs, or other gameplay features that are not otherwise present in normal gameplay.
How do I enable feature toggles in my new worlds?
In Minecraft: Java Edition, feature toggles are enabled as part of a datapack.  The game will now include some built-in datapacks enabling experimental features together with relevant recipes, advancements, etc. Content creators can also use experimental features by modifying their packs to require specific features.
Can I enable feature toggles in my existing worlds?
As these features are considered unstable and experimental, enabling feature toggles in existing worlds is not supported at this time.
How do I know if my world has feature toggles enabled?
You will see an âExperimentalâ qualifier in the world list when choosing a world to play.
What types of gameplay can be exposed by feature toggles?
Items: enabled items will appear in the Creative mode inventory; recipes and loot tables will be added to gameplay where appropriate; commands can reference enabled items
Blocks: commands that summon blocks will recognize enabled block ids; block items will be available for enabled blocks
Entities: commands that summon entities will recognize enabled entity ids; spawn eggs will be available in the Creative mode inventory for enabled entities
Disabled items, blocks, and entities will not be available in commands, inventories, or other gameplay systems.
For more technical information, please see the snapshot's changelog .Â
How do feature toggles interact with normal snapshot features?
While we generally strive for worlds to be upgradeable from snapshot to snapshot, and eventually to major release versions, this is not true for worlds with feature toggles enabled.
A world created in a given snapshot with feature toggles enabled will have both the normal snapshot features, as well as the experimental features enabled by those toggles, but will not be upgradeable to future snapshots or releases.
When will features behind feature toggles be released?
As these features are experimental, they may change drastically or be cut entirely from future releases.
How do I enable feature toggles in a new server world?
There are several new fields in server.properties that are used during world creation. If you are a server owner, please see the technical changelog for details on these fields.

How to enable 1.20 Experimental Features in Minecraft Java Edition
This Minecraft tutorial explains how to enable Minecraft 1.20 Experimental Features in Java Edition with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
Let's explore how to turn on the new 1.20 Features in Java Edition, so that you can try them early.
Steps to turn on the Java 1.20 Experimental Features
How do you turn on the Minecraft 1.20 experimental features in Java Edition?
Starting in 22w42a snapshot, you can access the new 1.20 Experimental Features ( such as camels, bamboo wood set, chiseled bookshelf, and hanging signs ). However, these new features do not install automatically. They are included in a data pack that you can access through the game.
1. Open the Game
First, you need to launch Minecraft Java Edition so that you can create a new world. In this tutorial, we have chosen Java Edition 1.19.3 from the Launcher which was released after snapshot 22w42a ( you can launch any version since snapshot 22w42a ).
Next, choose the Data Packs option in the Create New World menu.
2. Select the Data Pack
Next, select the Data Pack called "update_1_20" which should be found under the Available data packs section.
Once you have selected this data pack, it should appear under Selected ( on the right hand side ). Click on the Done option in the menu.
3. Create the World
Now, you can finish creating your world, just like normal. And once your Minecraft world loads, you will be able to use the new 1.20 Experimental Features ( including camels and hanging signs ).
Be sure to find a Desert Village and check out the new camels. Two players can ride on the same camel at the same time!
Congratulations, you just learned how to turn on the new 1.20 Experimental Features in Java Edition!

- Experimental Gameplay
The disclaimer that appears when toggling Experimental Gameplay in the world settings.
Example of a world with the experimental tag on Bedrock Edition.
Experimental Gameplay (also known in-game as Experiments ) is a game option exclusive to Bedrock Edition . In Java Edition , experimental features are available behind separate data packs . When enabled, it allows players to test some unfinished or work-in-progress features that will eventually be released in future updates.

Toggling [ ]
Experimental Gameplay is found in the world options when creating or editing a world. When turning the option on in an existing world, a copy of the world will be created automatically. Turning the option on disables achievements after the world is created. Once the experimental world is created, it cannot be turned off again. Worlds with the experimental on will have an "Experimental" tag right next to the game mode name in the world menu.
Warnings [ ]
The warning message when attempting to play on an experimental world.
The point of Experimental Gameplay is for the player to look at some not-quite-finished features, which could crash, break, or stop working at any point in future updates. When the player attempts to load the experimental world, it will show a warning message before loading it. Attempting to disable experimental gameplay toggle via external tools could also crash and break the world.

It is recommended to create back up copies of the world when playing on experimental, or not enabling experimental toggle on to avoid breaking the world and having issues in future updates.
Features (Bedrock Edition) [ ]
There are 8 different toggles of Experimental Gameplay on Bedrock Edition. [1] [2] These are:
Additional content [ ]
- Enables add-ons features added on the holiday update and some further updates that include the creation of custom blocks and items, Molang enhancements and the run_command method. This toggle will soon be removed from Bedrock Edition entirely, thus breaking add-ons using these features, mostly block and item events.
- Enables custom biomes by using add-ons.
- Used for Volume Driven Fog and entity properties and permutations.
- Enables the usage for "-beta" versions of API modules in add-on packs.
- Enables experimental Molang features.
- Enables the / camera command and its features.
- Introducing new experimental cross-platform graphics features for creators
Gameplay [ ]
- Overhauled trades for Villager and Wandering Trader
- Internal (staff only) experimental features (NON_LOC)
- Enables the experimental bundle item.
Internal Testing ( Developer Edition only) [ ]
- loc_description MISSING FROM EXPERIMENTS JSON!
- the next big update
- just a test for whether text is working
- Allow changing seed
- Load Blocks generated by the Minecraft Explorer (NON_LOC)
Features (Java Edition) [ ]
There are two data packs of experimental features on Java Edition:
- While this data pack is selectable during world creation, it will not be found within the datapacks folder of the save.

This world uses experimental settings that could stop working at any time. We cannot guarantee it will load or work. Here be dragons!" Those experimental settings probably come from the fact that they've added custom world generation in that snapshot, which probably changed something in the way the map generates, or the way the file is written.
Whatever I do (change world settings or not) results in the warning "Worlds using Experimental Settings are not supported [...]". The thing is that I never turned on such an option, I don't know why it's in "experimental settings". From what I found, it seems like experimental is in Bedrock Edition, not Java. Cloth Config did not cause this. I admit I know nothing about the other mod you mentioned, but even a mod is going to be marked if its dev does not consider it a release version. "Experimental" means that features are still in early development, details are likely to change, nothing is guaranteed, and Mojang offers zero support for this. There ...

Yeah I think it refers to snapshots, or other settings you may have changed. I haven't had a problem with it, but it depends on the snapshot you started on probably. In any case, the mods have said that you should update from snapshots at your own risk because some settings, blocks, etc. might not be supported in future releases.
