Our menu is inspired by the history and culture of the Balearics. Chef Alexander Larrea takes inspiration from his childhood with dishes like Secreto Iberico with red onion & sumac and Turbot a la Plancha with spring onions & caper water, and he pushes the boundaries of Ibicenco cuisine with dishes like Courgette Babaganoush served with feta, spicy pinenuts & pickled strawberries and Sepionet & Crayfish Risotto with black garlic alioli & saffron. Cocktails are at the heart of the Experimental ethos. Our menu at Experimental Beach is a twist on what we know best. A touch of eccentric whimsy with a nod to the classics. An Old Cuban to toast the setting sun, a Pineapple Express with a friend, a Suzette a L’Anis to end an cosy dinner. And of course, cocktails may be our heart and soul, but wine is never forgotten. Our list leans heavily on small Spanish producers, alongside our favourite domaines across France.

Located at Cap Des Falco, in Ses Salines beach, this beach club features a bar, a restaurant and white luxurious sun beds under the Mediterranean sun.

Situated right in the heart of Ses Salines natural park, the bar and restaurant have a lovely setting, and there is a very relaxed atmosphere with views across the Mediterranean to the very tip of Es Vedra.

You can book a sunbed and unwind under the sun. There is also a boutique where you can check out the latest in Ibizan fashion. And if you want to stay active during your holidays, you can always attend one of their morning yoga sessions, or opt for the yoga+lunch package.

Open from April until October.

The restaurant serves a combination of traditional tapas dishes, summery starters plus beach classics, luxury grilled meats and seafood prepared with quality, fresh and local ingredients.

The Experimental Beach restaurant & bar found at Cap d’es Falcó, is within in the protected Las Salinas nature reserve, on a secluded west facing beach in the south of Ibiza, writes Andrew Forbes (The Luxury Editor).

Laid back chic

This special place offers a natural corner of the Ibiza, untouched by development. Reached via a bumpy country track that runs along the edge of the ancient salt flats, the understated elegance of this hidden beach bar on one of the quiet, if a bit stony, beaches of the nature park, appeals to a less boisterous crowd – it’s barefoot elegance and mellow music. The aesthetic moves away from the ubiquitous artisan wicker and bleached wood of much of the island’s beach bars and instead plays with an understated, nautical theme, with powder blue and turquoise cushions, white painted timber and a bar made from an old boat. The young team match their good looks with professionalism and friendliness, providing relaxed yet attentive service throughout the day & evening.

Experimental Beach is open for lunch & dinner, as well as tapas and sharing plates to accompany the drinks and cocktails.

So, book a beach side sunbed to while away the day. For the evening, the terrace is prepared with benches, and Acapulco chairs ready for guests to enjoy the sunset.

Mixology Magic

Since this is the latest chic creation from Experimental Cocktail Club, expect superb mixology. Try Penicilina, the perfect antidote for a busy day exploring Ibiza, it mixes tequila, mezcal, ginger cordiale, agave syrup with lime juice and spice tincture for an intoxicating end to the day. Or maybe the refreshing Belza, made with Brick Gin infused with pink pepper, orange blossom, cucumber, green tea, and grapefruit syrup, as well as pineapple and lime juices.

As the sun sets behind the mountains, you’ll be tempted to stay for a dinner; try the burnt aubergine carpaccio salad with tahini and smoked yogurt followed by spicy squid with Ibizan sobrasada and harissa. Cuisine is simple, allowing the local organic produce to make the impact.

High spirits in Ibiza

The new island outpost of the Experimental Cocktail Club is a far cry from its city counterparts in every sense but the cocktails. The one on Gerrard Street in London's China Town, for example, is all clandestine speakeasy-feel, through a scruffy, unmarked door; the Paris original is in urbane-cool Le Sentier. Their summer-loving little sister, on the other hand, can be found swaying on a beach in the sunshine.

Experimental Beach is one of two entirely new beach bars to launch in Ibiza this season. At the back of Salinas beach (in place of what was Cap des Falco) on the south coast, Experimental Beach has a distinctly more laid-back, more rustic vibe than its rival newcomer, Nikki Beach - more boho-babes-on-holiday, sparkly with finds from Las Dalias hippie market, than modelesque Russians swinging by on their superyachts.

So down to business: the cocktails. Other than signature favourite the Old Cuban, most of the cocktails will have more of a wanderlust spirit, made with drinks from all over the world. The clubs' founders and bartenders, as the name suggests, are renowned for tinkering around with increasingly rare and unusual spirits, like some kind of exotic chemistry set - so the margarita is pepped up with local Ibizan hierbas, and the Pimm's Punch has a tropical twist of pomegranate and pineapple. Punchbowls to share come in the form of conch shells and pineapples.

Drinks aside, there is a restaurant specialising in local fish, grilled or cooked in a salt crust, and served with locally sourced products. Head chef Gerard Ortiz Arlandis has done time at El Bulli and El Celler de Can Roca; before that he was a fisherman.

The designer is the same as for other Experimental clubs in Paris, London and New York - but rather than going for the usual rich, dark palette and textured fabrics, Dorothée Meilichzon has this time chosen something more nautical and Mediterranean - breezier shades, natural-wood furniture, coloured glassware that turns all colours of the sea in the afternoon sunlight.

The music is a mix of beachy bossa nova and reggae with electro and rock thrown in. DJs play a sunset set every evening and until 1am, except when a party kicks off - in typical Ibiza style, impromptu and unpredictable.

Solo dos meses y dos días después del atentado fallido contra Donald Trump durante un mitin en Butler (Pensilvania) este domingo se ha producido lo que el FBI ha confirmado que “parece ser” un segundo "intento de asesinato" del expresidente y candidato republicano, esta vez mientras jugaba al golf en su club privado en West Palm Beach, en Florida. Trump no resultó herido en el incidente , que tuvo lugar alrededor de la 13:30, hora local.

Según han confirmado en rueda de prensa las autoridades, uno de los agentes del servicio secreto que acompañan a Trump que iba como avanzadilla uno o dos hoyos por delante de él mientras juega al golf vio saliendo de los arbustos el cañón de un arma . Trump estaba a entre 350 y 500 metros del lugar.

El agente entonces disparó al sospechoso , que abandonó los arbustos y huyó en un coche. Un testigo lo vio salir corriendo y meterse en un coche, del que tomó una fotografía. Eso permitió a la policía local identificar la matrícula y el vehículo, que fue interceptado. El sospechoso fue detenido y está bajo custodia .

En los arbustos donde había estado, según confirmó el shérif se encontró un rifle etilo AK47 con mirilla, además de dos mochilas y una cámara GoPro que había atado a la valla que rodea el campo de golf, lo que indica a las autoridades que pretendía grabar el atentado.

“ El nivel de amenaza es alto , vivimos en momentos peligrosos”, ha dicho a los medios Rafael Barros, el agente especial a cargo de la oficina del Servicio Secreto en Miami.

La noticia de lo sucedido se conoció en primer lugar por un comunicado de la campaña de Trump, que explicó que el expresidente estaba “seguro” después de se hubieran producido disparos “en sus inmediaciones ”. Poco después el republicano, que inicialmente fue trasladado a una localización segura en el club de golf y luego a su residencia en Mar-a-Lago, envió un correo de recaudación de fondos de su campaña hablando del incidente. “¡Estoy a salvo y bien!”, dijo tras mencionar los disparos. “Nada me frenará”, escribió también. “¡ Nunca me rendiré !”.
